The game started off with my usual Hero rush by fast building a Altar with all 5 starting peasants. I built a ArchMage immediately and set out to harrass one of my enemies. I found one of the orcs who seem to have had the same idea and already had a BladeMaster waiting in his base. I casted a Water Elemental and tried to kill the BM but I wound up losing my AM in the end. Luckily TaurenWarlord came in with his DH and killed off the BM so all was not in vain.
While at my base, my economy continued to prosper and I had a massive army of 6 mortar teams and 10 or so footmen. This was going to be my base wrecking crew but unfortunately this was not so. Because we completely ignored the enemy for 5 or so minutes, they manage to put together a strong attack force. Luckily ours were superior and I ended up with few losses. I can't say the same for my allies Slider7 and TaurenWarlord however, they got to the battle before I did. We killed some of the enemy heroes atleast.
We all proceeded then to expand. However while we were all getting our expansions up, the Human enemy player had amassed 6-8 steam tanks. This was extremely devastating as Tauren's base was hammered completely save for some moonwells. Many battles occured afterwards consisting of massed enemy Wyverns and Steamtanks. I was being stubborn so I said during game, "I can play cheesy too..." >=D. After taking lots of losses I decided it was time for some anti air and some steamtanks of my own. Both Slider7 and Tauren had their bases decimated but they still rebuilded so they provided me the distraction I needed to amass my army.
In the end my Steamtanks/Riflemen/Mortarteams/Archmage completely waxed the Human players army. Thanks to anti-air support from Tauren and his Hipporyders, we won the game and destroyed the rest of the Orc players. Slider7 also helped a bunch because he had defended my expansion with his small force. It was my only expansion and had I lost it, I might have lost the game right there.
