First off, relatively obviously, you need to already have Winamp installed to install Winamp skins. That said, choose either Lina, Gourry, Amelia, Zelgadis, Filia, or Xellos as your Winamp skin theme. All Winamp skins were designed by me, so please don't use them on your site without giving me credit, and linking me back. For those that don't know, skins are just a different appearance for something, so it won't mess up anything on Winamp. "Non high-tech" people out there, you're in luck, because Winamp skins are extremely easy to install. All you need to do is put the zipped file into the appropriate folder, and then you can change the skin. The Winamp skins directory is usually located at C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins. However, you may have saved it elsewhere, so you could also try C:\Winamp, D:\Program Files\Winamp, or D:\Winamp, as long as you put "\Skins" after the Winamp location. Otherwise, you could search yoru system for Winamp, and then put "\Skins" after the location to find the appropriate directory. When you download one of these skins, just save it to the Winamp skins directory. Afterwards, bring up Winamp. Press Alt+S to open your skin browser. If you saved to your skins directory correctly, the skin should be available. Double-click it, and you're set! So get to downloading! ^_^ Oh, and the previews are a little low-quality. It's not THAT bad, though. ^^' |
