JASON VOORHEES

Jason Voorhees started his cinematic career as a drowned boy, sitting at the bottom of Crystal Lake. Before long, he had emerged from the lake and taken matters (and a machete) into his own hands, killing camp counselors, horny teens, and anyone else who violated the Crystal Lake area. (And then later, Manhattan, and outer space... but we really don't need to talk about that). Jason is the quintessential silent stalker. His deformed face is hidden behind a hockey mask. His personality is hidden by his silence. But there's no hiding his thirst for vengeance or his miraculous regenerative abilities (especially in the later installments).
It's interesting to see how Jason changes from film to film (even though some films are only days apart!). But in the first Friday the 13th, he's the drowned boy, then in part 2 he's a misshapen hillbilly with long hair wearing a pillowcase on his head. By part 3, he's a bald misshapen hillbilly in a hockey mask. In part 4, he's a gray monster - not much human left in him. Part 6 saw Jason come back as a rotten burnt corpse, and he continued to rot as parts 7, 8, & 9 rolled through. He looked almost younger in part X, but now had knappy hair.
