Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo

    The following is the course of events.

12/13/2020: Artie showed up just outside of Washington D.C., demanding that President Connery step in and do something about the California situation.  At the time, Artie had several thousand troops and massive air support from his base in West Virginia.
12/14/2020: President Connery issued a statement requesting that Satch DeLeon call Artie off.  This request was ignored by  DeLeon HQ.  Meanwhile, Indigo Retina was seen flying toward St. Louis to give a speech to the nation.
12/15/2020: Zeus's followers officially endorsed Indigo Retina and stated their loyalty to his cause. while this did not affect the electoral vote, it did swing much of the nation to Retina's favor.
12/16/2020: Nelson DiChezzerai's followers officially endorsed Satch DeLeon, swinging their loyalty to him.
12/17/2020: Troops and air squadrons loyal to Indigo Retina entered the state of California from Oregon and promptly took Sacramento.  President Connery made a statement calling the actions "treasonous/"  Vice President Nicholas Cage was unavailable for comment.
12/21/2020: Artie and his troops entered Washington, D.C. and stormed the Capitol building.  President Connery ordered all federal troops to move toward Washington.  They were thwarted however, by Artie's heat vision.
12/23/2020: Indigo Retina addressed the nation, telling everyone to stay calm and cool about the current situation.  Meanwhile, forts all over California were being taken by Retina troops, and general chaos reigned throughout the nation.
12/26/2020: Several skirmishes along the Illinois/Missouri and Louisiana/Texas border between Retina and DeLeon troops resulted in some minor border changes, mostly in Retina's favor.  In other news, Canada and the United States of Europe asked if we could please keep that racket down.
12/28/2020: President Connery, his troops badly hurt and his country in turmoil, issued an order for as many Whammy bars as possible to be airlifted to Washington, D.C. in order to weaken the Artie juggernaut.  He also pleaded with John McFlemp to make an emergency stop in D.C., and requested that any school bully named "Papercut" report to the White House immediately.
1/01/2021: Despite tense and almost joyless New Year's festivities, Washington D.C. was bombarded with Whammy Bars and men named John McFlemp.  Artie, ready for the attack, commanded his troops from his lead-titanium bunker.
1/02/2021: Retina troops began a major offensive.  As of this printing, they have taken Nevada, and the entire Southeastern United States south of Virginia.
