![]() Tragically Hip Party Demands Recount Although Satch DeLeon conceded the presidency over a week ago, Tragically Hip Party leaders are insisting that California's votes be recounted after seeing the numbers. The numbers from California are as follows. Retina: 11,030,028
As you can see, DeLeon is within 5,000
votes of Indigo Retina out of approximately 19 million votes cast. Although
DeLeon conceded, a win in California for him would make him the President-elect.
When asked for comment, DeLeon had this to say: "Yes, I conceded. That is true. That may have been premature, or maybe not. However, I myself will not take action. I have moved on. If I am President-elect, I will do my best. However, my party will have to be the one to take action in this case." Several party leaders are furious with DeLeon about his unwillingness to fight alongside them for his possible presidency, but they are aware of his unwillingness to look like a sore loser in a hard-fought 7 month long campaign. "Politically, it's smart politics to lay
down and accept a defeat in this race. After the election chaos 20 years
ago, the American public is not willing to deal with another political
dispute over the true President-elect." says Drew Porter, a political analyst
for the El Paso Snooper.
