Election Special Update

Paving the way for his own presidency, Indigo Retina and several thousand troops, along with large amounts of air support from recently acquired Virginian air bases, marched into Washington D.C. this week with Artie forging a hasty retreat.   Artie was heard making this statement over radio transmissions.  (Listen to his statement.)  Experts currently speculate that Artie made the statement from a disco in nearby Arlington.

Meanwhile, President Connery's attempts at ridding the national capital of the rebel threats, and cut off from his nuclear capabilities, decided to surrender to Indigo Retina.  He made the surrender in a televised address from a Denny's in Philadelphia, which had doubled as his headquarters over the duration of his retreat from Washington.

At the end of his speech, President Connery called for a second election, devoid of the electoral college, where the popular vote would win.  Indigo Retina and Satch DeLeon agreed to this proposition, and elections went forward.

Voters hurried to the election booths on January 9, 2020.  The numbers were as such.

Satch DeLeon: 50,943,923
Indigo Retina: 59,386,581

In response to the latest information, several million Americans let out a sigh of relief.

President-elect Indigo Retina will make his Cabinet appointments within the week.  The Inauguaration ceremony has not been postponed.  It is still scheduled for January 20, 2020.  Stay tuned for Mr. Retina's Cabinet appointments.
