Why do my fonts display bitmapped on screen?

Your ATM rasterizer may not be on, or functioning correctly. Check the ATM control panel, make sure it's turned on, and make sure "smooth font edges on screen" is also turned on.

Your font may be missing the screen font. If you're using a Type-1 font, it must have both a screen font and a printer font for each weight (i.e. regular, bold) in the same folder.

Watch out for font conflicts: If you have two fonts with the same name opened, you're obviously going to run into trouble.

If you're still having trouble, you may have a corrupted font. If you have the install disk for the font, re-install it. If you don't, and you have a copy of Fontographer, try to open the printer font and generate a new copy of the screen font.
