Author's Summary: Broots' discovery that Jarod's one-time lover Nia has vanished leads Parker to believe that the Centre is behind it, and that Nia may be carrying a Pretender's child -- something Dr. Raines will kill to possess. Parker must weigh her ethics against her position, and find a way to save both Nia and the child from her own people.
