Defining Episodes:  "The Battle of Nibi Gym!" ("Showdown in Pewter City"), "Rokon!  Breeder Showdown!" ("Pokemon Fashion Flash"), "What're the Secrets of Pokemon and the GS Ball" ("Pokeball Peril")

Information:  Takeshi had a hard life growing up.  When he was little, his mother died.  Then later on, his father left him and his eleven siblings to pursue his dream of being a Pokemon Master, leaving Takeshi to take care of his entire family.  He later became the Nibi City Gym Leader and came into contact with Satoshi, joining him to pursue his dream of being the world's best Pokemon Breeder.  He left his siblings with his father, who had returned to help Satoshi beat Takeshi after failing to become a Pokemon Master.

Takeshi knows a lot about pokemon, mainly because of his experience with breeding pokemon.  While Takeshi himself rarely battles, he is always there to offer his advice to his companions.  He is often the brains behind the strategies Satoshi uses to win, such as using Pikachu's agility against Machisu's Raichu rather than simply overpowering it.

Takeshi is also good at making food for pokemon.  When he visits Yuki (Suzie), her Rokon readily eats the food he makes.  This is significant because her Rokon is particularly picky, and its acceptance of his food is a testament to his skill.  His food preparation skills also impress Uchikido-Hakase, a scientist on the same level as Ookido-Hakase.  The professor is unable to figure out why the pokemon won't eat her food, but Takeshi is quickly able to figure out that they don't like the food's taste.  He quickly prepares a tastier alternative and the pokemon love it.

And while on the subject of women in his life, Takeshi has a lot ot them.  He falls for almost any woman he sees, but never gets anywhere with them.  He loves all the Joi and Junsa he encounters on his journey and is able to tell the minute differences in each of their appearances that other people cannot see.

Toward the beginning of Satoshi's journey through the Orange League, Takeshi left Satoshi and Kasumi to assist Uchikido-Hakase with her research.  He was soon replaced by Kenji but came back at the end of the Orange League to Satoshi's house.  However, the mere mention of the doctor's name brings up bad memories.  To this day, he hasn't told anyone what happened between the two of them.

He is currently journeying through the Jouto League with Satoshi and Kasumi.

    Links to Fan Pages:

When you think of a Brock shrine, the first page that usually pops into most people's minds is Brock-O-Rama.  This site has a lot of nice sounds, pictures, information on the Japanese Takeshi, voice actor information, and a lot more.

A Chock Full o' Brock is a nice site with lots of fan stuff and things for you to do, as well as a listing of all his crushes ^_^.  I also like the fact that the webmistress admits that her site isn't "Brock-O-Rama."  Definitely worth a look.

Thanks to:  MewHeart for the icons and Bryon Youngblood for the pokemon information.  Also big big thanks to Bryon Youngblood, James Imakuni, and CINDY & STEVE for the information about Takeshi's Gold/Silver pokemon.

Pocket Monsters was not created by me.  It was created by Satoshi Tajiri and the crew at TV-Tokyo.  Pokemon is (c) Game Freak, Nintendo, 4Kids Productions, Hasbro, Bandai, and a ton of other companies. When you have a popular anime like Pokemon, lots of people own it so it's impossible to list every company who owns a piece of Pokemon.  No infringement of copyrights is meant by the creation of the web site.  All images were gotten from official websites (Nintendo, TV-Tokyo, etc.) unless otherwise noted (I don't steal images from other sites!).
