Large pool of different gadgets that provide him with the arsenal
to do his hero "thang". Primary devices
include a hoverboard (for flight), Exploding frisbee discs,
razor-bladed yo-yo's, taser jacks, and just about anythine else
Jimmy can think of!

| Personality: The
Gnat is a light-hearted, witty character with a Spider-Man like
banter, but a Nightwing-like motivation and method of operation.
The Gnat has a dark side, of course, surrounding the mysterious
life of his drug-dealing father, and the deep responsibility put
on him to protect and defend his mother, whom he's dragged into
this daring endeavor he's begun. |
| Motivation: To
destroy large corporations, fight drugs and gangs (and have fun
along the way!) |
| Why That Name?: He
adopted the identity of the Gnat, both as kind of a joke rip-off
of his favorite comic-book hero, and also to be an irritant
("the turd in your punchbowl, the fly in your
ointment"). He also thought that assuming the identity of
such a small insect would give his opponents a false sense of
superiority. |

History: Scott
Hatcher has a natural ability with electronics and
technology. After entering a technology contest, he won an
internship with a large defense corporation, and quickly became a
senior member of the design staff on high-level, top-secret
government defense projects.
Years later, at the ripe old age of 16, new management decided to
steal Scott's "2nd generation" of designs. Scott got
wind of the scheme, and escaped, erasing all evidence of his
identity. He then disappeared into the city, to start a new life
in anonymity.
He decided to use his 2nd generation designs to exact revenge - a
personal suit of armor and weaponry, all based on child's toys.
His idea was that even young kids would be able to use these for
the battlefield.
