| History: Frank's
dad read comic books to his son at an early age and it stuck with
Frank all these years. He read comics for years. One day he
saw a mugging in the mall parking lot. He had been taking some
self defense classes over the years and decided to help. There
weren't any superheroes in his town, but there needed to be. He
stopped the mugging, but the criminal left him something to
remember him by, a scar across Frank's forehead. He then increased
his studying of martial arts. Started saving up to buy materials.
He eventually had enough to make his costume and purchase weapons.
All he needed now was a name. He got out the dictionary and looked
up Marauder, he found a different word instead, Mattoid, it means
on the edge of insanity. Anybody without the ability to fly or
shoot lasers would have to be crazy to fight crime. |
