History:
It was John's 13th birthday, he was surrounded by his
mother, his aunties and uncles etc but he felt like he was alone.
His father wasn't there, he had moved to Egypt 6 months ago. He
was staying there for another year on an archeological dig, John
missed his Dad a lot. He always used to tell John stories of
Superheroes, there was one he always used to tell John about. His
name was Polaric, a superhero who could control gravity! John sat
in front of the TV playing his new computer games, he couldn't
stop thinking about his father. A sudden rush of emotion came
other him and his eyes turned green, he jumped up and the
furniture started flying all around the room. He passed out.
John awakened on a hospital bed, he felt weak. When he
opened his eyes he saw his father standing other him.
"Dad!" John says tearfully. "Son, i know you must
be confused and what im about to tell you will make it worse. Son,
your a mutant. I am a mutant as well, remember those stories i
told you of Polaric? I was Polaric and i guess you inherited more
than just your fathers good looks," Johns dad said cracking a
smile. "T-t-t-this is weird, why did you give up being
Polaric dad? Why did you start risking your life?" John says
with a tear running down his eye. "I started because, i had
the power to help people. You have the power now son, you can help
people!" Johns dad said holding his hand. "But, i cant
control my powers. Look what happened to get me like this,"
John says now sitting up. "I will train you, i will become
Polaric again," Johns dad says with a grin, "We could be
partners!" "What about Egypt?" "Its more
important that i stay here with you." A year later at
Johns 14th birthday his dad delivers the bad news, he is going
back to Egypt. "But, we've been helping so many people!"
"I know but, you don't need me anymore. You wont be alone,
I'm sending you to Paragon City where you can start your journey
as a super hero. Join a Superhero team, its good to have friends
who are going throu the same thing as you. You can be Polaric!"
"No Dad, Polaric's still here. I'll keep my name as Polaric
Boy because, you will come back." "Yes son" The two
hug. John and his mother set off to Paragon City on the bus,
she is coming with him to look after him. John starts his new life
as, POLARIC BOY! |
