Robert Sterry and Elizabeth arrived in Port Phillip, Melbourne (not Sydney) on the ship "Westminster" on 13th December, 1839 as assisted ("bounty") passengers. Robert was aged 28 and his wife (shown as Emily - I assume this is an error) 23. Both could read and write. Robert, profession shown as carpenter, was christened in Bridgham, Norfolk and Emily, profession shown as dressmaker, was christened in Fevish. I couldn't find Fevish in the Gazetteer of England. The closest I could find was Feversham in Kent. Both were protestants. | ||||||
