I have always had the ability to lose myself in the written word. I'll sit down with a good book, and I am transported to another place or another time. And poetry, to me, contains both the beauty and wonder of words but also the music those words can bring to an open heart, mind and soul. I began writing at an early age. I have a sister, Victoria, who instilled in me a love of words and encouraged me to write what was in my heart. I've never really taken any creative writing classes, but I write what is IN me.... I write about my thoughts and feelings, my joy or sorrow, pain or pleasure. And now, I am sharing these things with you, whoever you might be...and however the winds of chance brought you here. Each of the poets, who are represented on these pages, have given a gift of themselves through their words. They have bared a bit of their hearts and souls to the world. I hope you will find pleasure, peace, empathy or maybe even a little comfort in their poetry. Please visit again, more poetry will be added to these pages and there might possibly be more pages!
