Demi-humans have minds, but they possess lower intelligence than humans, but they do bear some physical resemblance to us. Trolls, goblins, and beast-men are the most well-known demi-humans, and, as you'll notice, Lina gets attacked by them pretty often. Another example is a berserker, a group of which assaulted Lina and Gourry early in the first Slayers series. Since demi-humans aren't as smart, they make handy accomplices when trying to catch someone (as Dilgear demonstrated time and again).
Monsters live in darkness, and wish only harm to come to humans.They're divided into many smaller individual groups, such as vampires (higher up), and slimes (lower down). Confusingly, the dubbed versions of the Slayers tapes translated "mozaku" as "monsters", but these are two seperate races. |
