GUN CONTROL:
The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

Arrest fuels debate over child porn law
A man convicted five years ago of producing child pornography drawings and writings for his own use has now been charged with sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl, giving new ammunition to critics who say such pornography can lead to serious crimes against children.(Anyone convicted of child molestation, should serve only one year in prison, General Population.. That 'should' be enough time to 'take out the garbage' Who says criminals offer no service to society.. Most would be happy to do what our bleeding heart politicians won't..)
Ottawa finds $100-million for new jets to ferry PM
OTTAWA - The federal government yesterday spent $100-million to buy two Challenger 604  business jets from Bombardier Inc. that will be used to ferry the Prime Minister and other ministers travelling on government business."We have 40-year-old military helicopters falling out of the sky and we're going to buy jets for the Prime Minister rather than helicopters for our own military pilots. It shows how arrogant this government has become." (I wonder if  "PeaceKeeper Jean" has even ridden in a SeaKing Helicopter.. Naw.. Probably far to dangerous. This is where some of the the huge government windfall from your $24.00 round trip 'Airline Security Fine' is going.. Do YOU think your military has the equipment to protect Canada? NO! Don't forget to Thank a Liberal)
Study: Gun Licensing Reforms Had Little Effect on Crime Rates
Christopher Koper, from the university's Jerry Lee Center of Criminology, examined the federal government's attempt to reduce crime through changes in firearms licensing requirements. He found that while the reforms pushed 70 percent of gun dealers out of the gun-selling arena, the changes did not oust the dealers
who supply most guns to criminals. (And NOBODY knows this better than Canadian gun owners. Our crime rate is rising the same as Britain, and Australia.. The guns that are most used in crime (handguns) have been licence and registered for over 60 years. To Quote Ted Nugent: "If  guns cause crime, then MINE are defective")
Starter pistol ruling upheld
Ontario's highest court has upheld a landmark ruling classifying a starter's pistol as a firearm and  left a sports store clerk facing an automatic year in  jail for selling one to an undercover police officer. The defence argued that Goswami should be acquitted on the basis of Criminal Code provisions that say a weapon won't be considered a firearm if it is designed exclusively for firing blank cartridges and is intended to be used exclusively for that purpose. The trial judge, Mr. Justice Eugene Ewaschuk, ruled the criteria weren't met and convicted Goswami. Writing for the Ontario Court of Appeal yesterday, Madam  Justice Kathryn Feldman effectively accepted the pistol was designed to fire blank  cartridges — but said Goswami still knew the gun wasn't intended to be used just for that purpose. (If the intended use of your starter pistol is to convert it, or intimidate, by making someone believe its IS a firearm, then it IS a firearm and there should be no argument about it. BUT, if your standing in a field, and using it to make a loud noise for training your dog, or simply to get the distant groundhog to stand-up and make a better target, then you should NOT be hassled by the police, because the pistol is being used for what it is intended. These Kimer 8 mm blank guns make a LOUD bang, and are excellent for dog training. But you should be discrete. Mine looks exactly like a Barretta 85 and CAN NOT be converted, but it would be extremely stupid to stick it in a holster and walk around with it. It takes close inspection to tell that its not a real firearm, and as such, it could put you in danger of a 'takedown' because there is NO WAY a police officer could tell that its not real just by looking.)
Gun registry doing little to make us safer Southam News
The federal licensing and registration system for shotguns and rifles and their owners is so wasteful and ineffective, even Canadians who support greater gun control should be outraged. Budgeted for $85 million over its first five years, the registry has cost nearly $700 million, and counting. This fiscal year, the government budgeted $35 million, but in November asked Parliament for another $114 million. All this money is doing little to make Canada safer. Four policemen have been shot in the past several weeks, two fatally. The percentage of attempted murders that involved a firearm increased from 31 per cent in 1995 to 37 per cent in 2000. The number of homicides that involved a gun also increased. But the program is creating disrespect for the law, by wasting hundreds of millions of dollars and through widespread non-compliance. All Canadians, no matter how anti-gun, should demand that this end. (If you spent $9000.00 per week, every week, from the birth of Christ 2002 years ago, to the present day, you will STILL not have spent the amount of money the Liberals have wasted on this farce since it inception.. ...ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!)
Presence of 85 sex offenders worries Riverdale residents
TORONTO - Parents are calling for tougher security measures in schools after learning 800 registered sex offenders live in Toronto, 85 of them in Riverdale, where a young girl was assaulted in a school bathroom this month. There are 3,238 people listed on the registry who were either convicted or were serving a sentence for sexual  assault since April, 2001.(Kicking the shit out of a child molester or rapist should be a Canadian National pastime! When turning one over to the police, he should 'look' like he just fell down the flight of stairs trying to escape!! I'm not promoting violence or vigilantism,  just opportunism !  If you have the chance ;)~
"Just Watch Me" The Liberal Majority Attitude Even NOW!
The drastic and exceptional measures the Trudeau government opted for in  the War Measures Act have now been incorporated into our everyday law. So watch the film and wonder how much confidence we should have in the event Solicitor-General Lawrence MacAulay, Defence Minister Art Eggleton, Justice Minister Martin Cauchon, Prime Minister Jean Chrétien  and Deputy Prime Minister John Manley faced a comparable dilemma. My bet is that you will want to revisit C-36 as a result. (Canadians voted away many of their freedoms when Trudeau was elected, and more freedoms have vanished with every Liberal incarnation since. There was NO 70's crisis, just another 'power at any cost' Liberal Quest. 9/11 just offered another opportunity to the Liberal quest for MORE 'Power at any cost'. Do the Liberal make YOU feel any safer? I didn't think so)
Unarmed man, Shot by intruder
The shooting happened about 7 p.m. Monday in the Craigflower Road  residence of Cuthbert's ex-wife and daughter, Victoria police said. They said a  suspect reportedly forced his way through the door and shot a man who was inside.(No Wonder Many women in Canada cower behind doors, unarmed, defenceless, while some nutcase of ex-husband/boyfriend/acquaintance/stalker/etc.. is pounding on the door screaming "If I can't have you, then no one else will".. Firearms save lives too.  You just have to grasp the fact that 'your' life is worth more than 'his'. Your children will thank you for it! Have a look at :They're Just Dying to Be Rescued)
Gun Licence Checks Fail to Predict Future
Most are hunters, but about 150,000, including Richard Durn, have licences to use combat weapons. He bought the two Austrian-made Glock pistols in 1997.  According to police sources, he had obtained his licence after a full inquiry that failed to detect any trace of  the madness that was to result in yesterday’s massacre. Yet, under French law, firearms can be purchased only after an application procedure that is, in theory at least,  tightly controlled. Applicants must have been a member of an authorised shooting club for at least six months and have undergone lessons and tests under the tuition of the club’s instructors. They must then apply to the local police prefecture, which only delivers a licence after what is supposed to be an extensive inquiry into their criminal, professional and psychological record. Also see: The French Way To Arms (There are no reasonable, preventative, measures that can be taken against a madman. If a drunk driver runs over a child, would you then condemn all drivers of being possible drunken child killers? It's a poor judge that blames the crime on the criminals tools! After all, this man, who just killed himself  by  jumping out a window while in police custody,  began psychotherapy in 1990, and they let him have the guns in 1997?? Great system they have there!)
Homeowner forces intruder to call 911 on himself
Bristol-AP) -- A man fed up with break-ins to his  Bristol home decided to camp out in his living room this week with his .45-caliber handgun to try to catch the intruder.  Forty-nine-year-old Jerald Miller's wait paid off around 10 a.m. Tuesday when a teen-age boy he didn't know entered the house. He pointed the gun at the boy and made him call police on himself. (This link was contributed by a reader.. I assume that this 'Bristol' is not the U.K. Bristol, or the homeowner would have been promptly arrested for owning a 'handgun' and causing the intruder to 'worry' he may be injured.. There was also no word on how long it took the police to respond and change the kids underwear..hahah... )
Possible Alcoholic Senator Finds Air travel security is a mystery
Tory Senator Pat Carney was embarrassed on one of her many trips from Ottawa to Vancouver after Sept. 11, when she was required to drink a few ounces of  scotch from her personal flask in the security lineup before being allowed to board her plane.(Her "personal flask" ?? What!! Is she an Alcoholic? How many people find in necessary to travel with their own booze? Is this NOT a container of  a flammable substance? Why would she feel it necessary to even have it in her possession on board an aircraft? I guess carrying dangerous flammable substances is ok if you are one of the political 'Elite'.. I'm embarrassed that a Canadian Senator would even require a 'personal' flask of scotch to travel on one of our airlines ...Well maybe a 'personal flask' on an Air Canada flight might make it more tolerable!! )
CSIS on alert for al-Qaeda second wave
The hard-core Sunni extremists in Canada tend to be well-educated and computer-literate, using encrypted e-mail, cellphones and satellite communications, Mr. Elcock said. They have also attended bin Laden's training camps. "Many of the people trained in those camps have since dispersed to 60 countries around the world, including Canada. Indeed, the willingness of Islamic terrorists to use  Canada as a staging ground was clearly demonstrated by the case of Ahmed Ressam."(Our Government, composed almost 100% of  yuppies without ANY  form of military training, continue to insist 'It can't happen here' ! As a result, they still continue to deny the fact our border personnel NEED to be armed, and our military is dangerously underfunded.  They merrily continue on their way to disarm all canadian citizens by red tape, and threats of imprisonment. Unfortunately, nothing will change 'until' we are attacked by our enemies from within, and innocent people die..)
U.S. Government Considering Armed Military Border Guards
The memo says that all 339 federalized National Guard troops working at 39 ports of entry in New York, Vermont, Maine, Michigan and Minnesota need to be armed.  In Washington, Montana and North Dakota, 68 soldiers at 33 ports of entry should be armed. (Americans are concerned about the threat of criminals and terrorist crossing the boarder from Canada. But Canadian Authorities, with their heads stuck in the sand as usual, feel it's not necessary to arm OUR Border personnel. The ONLY choice our border people have is to wave the suspected terrorists, and criminals through, and rely on the Americans to do our job, and clean up our governments mess as usual.)
F.T.S Inc. Announces Contract Award to Support the Canadian Army
SUWANEE, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March  26, 2002--Firearms Training Systems, Inc. (OTC: FATS) announced today that the Public Works and Government Services of Canada recently awarded the Company a contract valued at approximately $5,800,000. The contract requires delivery of 32 new Small Arms Trainers with the Company's latest digital technology, including High Level Architecture (HLA) capability, more than 550 weapon simulators, and maintenance and training support for these systems. Delivery will begin in July of this
year.(Well Gee Wizz!!! I thought 'Peacekeeper Jean' was only going to 'rent' American equipment, and no doubt hire Americans to do our fighing for us! Perhaps if we had a firearms and training industry in Canada, we might be able to provide a service to the rest of the world, just as the Americans do today..But Nooooo...)
Another 'Nutcase' with an 'illegal' gun: Eight dead in Paris shooting
Witnesses said the man calmly reloaded his automatic pistol five times, before pulling out a .357 magnum handgun which he fired at those trying to overpower him.  One official, who asked not to be identified, said someone threw a chair at the attacker and another councillor tried to wrestle him down, "but he kept firing".(In Feb. Last year, France was contemplating adding the 'gun control law' of forcing gun shops to seek preliminary authorisation(sic) before opening an outlet. !!! And I'll just bet this guy 'legally' bought his gun in a gun shop..ya sure..)
South Africa: Teen kills would-be rapist
Bushbuckridge - A Mpumalanga teenager is receiving counselling after she wrestled a gun from her would-be rapist and shot him dead on Tuesday morning. "She was already naked when he placed his firearm on the ground and started undressing himself to rape her," Ngoepe explained. The teacher barely had his trousers to his knees when the girl leapt for the gun and shot him twice in the chest.(I just LOVE a story with a happy ending!! She had the right idea! Fight Back..You'll live much longer)
Austrailian Robbery & Murders on the rise
The report shows that 30 per cent of all victims died by knife or other sharp instrument, 26 by assault and 22 per cent by gunshot.  There were no mass shooting murders of the type which occurred before the introduction of restrictive national gun laws following the 1996 Port  Arthur massacre.  Those killed by firearms in 2000-2001 numbered 69 - committed by 68 offenders - with handguns accounting for half the 64 cases where the type of weapon was known. (Well!! It Sure looks as if those "restrictive national gun laws" are working!! People are not being killed in 'groups' by mental defectives with guns. Now, their just unarmed, and being stabbed/murdered in their own homes.. That makes it ALL worthwhile)
68 Year Old RCMP Authority for Guns & Registry is No More!(.pdf)
The final approval of whether you can own a gun, now it seems,  rests with the Canadian Firearms Registry (C.F.R.), and the Canadian Firearms Centre (C.F.C) The RCMP it would seem, is no longer involved! Bureaucrats, now seem to have the decision if you are 'worthy' of owning a gun (And maybe even a Soldering Pistol)
ONLY LES NESSMAN WOULD LIKE OUR GUN CONTROL
Remember the old sitcom WKRP? Remember how Les Nessman, the mad-as-a-March-hare news director,
had dotted lines of masking tape running around his desk where he thought his walls ought to be? And how he
always behaved as if the walls were actually there? I've been thinking about Les quite a bit lately, because I've been thinking about gun control. And I've come to a conclusion: anyone who believes we've got gun control in this country is not only living in Les's office, he's seeing walls that aren't there. (With the latest Soldering Gun Registration, Even City people are 'starting' to notice this farce.. As long as THEY are not inforcing their own Verification law ANYTHING can be registered as a firearm... Force Verification, make em spend till the non gun owning public starts to hurt too)
In The U.K., You Go To Jail For 'Planning' Your Self Defence
After his acting career took off as a child, Walters - known as  Asher D - became a regular victim of muggers and bullies, and was particularly vilified for playing a gay character in The Bill. At 15, he was set upon by two men and stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle.  But the problems intensified as So Solid Crew's fame began to  spread. Walters was threatened with a gun two years ago after a gang of youths stoned his car.  "The gun being put to my head was the last straw. Obviously  having possession of a gun is illegal [but] I was scared for my  family's safety and my own safety," he said in a taped police interview played to the court. (A year and a half in prison for owning a self defence firearm! This is what the Liberals have planned for Canada's Future.. Feel Safer? I didn't think so.)
1 in 10 U.K. Worried householders arm themselves against burglars
Nearly one in 10 people questioned for a survey say they keep a weapon by their bedside to protect themselves from burglars. The NOP survey of 953 householders found 8% of those have a gun next to the bed, despite it being illegal. Home security firm Micromark, which commissioned the research, says it's the equivalent of more than 100,000 homes  across the country.(Because criminals know that 'most' of the public is unarmed and defenceless, you are more likely to be mugged or burglarized in 'Merry Olde England" than in any part of North America. U.K. citizens are starting to say "Enough is Enough")
REVISED: Firearms Left in a Will
(More hplophobic drivel from the CFC website)
You generally need "grandfathering rights" to get a licence for prohibited firearms. "Grandfathering rights" allow people who already legally own a prohibited firearm to keep that firearm and to get more in the same category. The licence is valid only for the categories of prohibited firearms listed on it. Exception: You and your heirs do not need grandfathering rights to inherit a  25 or 32 calibre handgun, or a handgun with a barrel length of 105 mm or less if: the handgun was manufactured before 1946, and  it is being passed down to a spouse, brother, sister, child or grandchild; and  the handgun is used for a permitted purpose referred to above. (This Liberal Brain Fart Can only mean two things! First, 'prohibited style' Guns made before 1946 are not as dangerous as those terrible newer models AND it would seem that descendants and spouses of  Gun Owners who acquired the 'safety gene' simply by owning a 'prohibited' gun in 1998, can obviously pass on this 'safety gene' to their descendants.  The Liberals feel that this 'anointed' difference sets them apart, thereby making the firearm vastly less dangerous in the hands of 'Descendants and Spouses' of those that owned a liberally 'prohibited' firearm in 1998.  The rest of us, not having been anointed with, or inheriting the safety gene, are far too unstable to have one of these incredibly dangerous items even though we may have safely and legally owned handguns for 30-40 years! If  YOU , as an executor, have come into possession of prohibited firearms you have RIGHTS Click here for full legal information)
Sarah Brady, Gun Criminal?
"Sarah Brady is typical of the anti-civil rights radicals," noted John Bender, executive director of SUSSA. "She wants to ban private transfers of guns for everyone but her and her elitist friends. If a black mother in a Delaware public housing apartment did this,  she would already be charged with a crime. I’m wondering if Delaware has different enforcement standards for rich white women. The group concluded: "Sarah Brady is one of  the leaders in the anti-civil rights movement's attempt to make all private transfers of firearms illegal. Along with other extremists she pushed Congress to make this type of straw purchase illegal. Law  enforcement should show her what her work has accomplished."(Well Well Well... She 'straw purchased'  a 30.06 for her son, under 'her' name... Why should 'her' punishment be any different than it would be for anyone else? Throw her ass in jail!!.. after all , that's what she's campaigning to do to YOU!!)
Arrests made in shooting death of trucker
The canisters were loaded somewhere in Halton and were being shipped to a U.S. destination. Police will not identify the owner of the material or the company Blais was driving for because the owner still ships precious metals daily. Blais was last seen alive as he drove his truck out of the T. H. Schneider transport company yard in Breslau, Ont.( Isn't so much nicer when the newspapers endanger lives because the police don't want to!!! I would Imagine it 'might' be a good idea for  "T. H. Schneider transport company" truckers to carry a loaded shotgun in the cab with them from now on, because one driver is dead, and idiots at the "Hamilton Spectator and the Toronto Star" Just made the rest of them targets !!)
Banning U.K. Cigarette 'Lighters' is next
An Old Bailey judge has called for a ban on cigarette lighters which are sold as look-a-like guns after hearing how one was used to hold up and rob motorists of their cars.(Perhaps if more people knew what a gun looked like, they wouldn't have to ban lighters! The old Bailey Judge would save more lives by banning cigarettes, and not their lighters.. But then again, the government does not make as much tax on lighters!)
U.K. Gun Banners At It Again!!
The Home Office should immediately advise chief constables  not to permit "weapons of excessive power" to be used for target shooting, and plan a ban in the long term, said the report. There are calls for a UK ban on super-powered rifles which can  kill at up to a mile away.(Good Grief!! Don't let them find out a box of  .22 Cal. ammunition is dangerous up to one mile.. I'm just as sure the U.K. is crawling with people that can 'actually' hit something they aim at a mile away..)
Evil knife-gun hits Britain
POLICE fear a terrifying new weapon is on the streets of Britain — a combined knife AND gun.  The GRAD .22 has a toughened 6in blade — and the firing mechanism of a pistol hidden in its folding handle. FIVE bullets can be fired in quick succession from the concealed barrel.  It is similar to weapons used by Russian and Chinese special forces for close-quarters fighting.(Ooooo Cool!!Some idiot can now actually 'take' a knife to a gunfight!)

Man registered soldering gun as firearm
OAK LAKE, Man. (CP) -- The Manitoba man who successfully  registered his soldering gun as a firearm to protest new federal gun laws says he is not concerned he could go to jail.   "I don't think they would be foolish enough to want this thing to drag  out for a year or two, because it could if they charged me," Brian Buckley said from his auto body shop in Oak Lake, 250 kilometres west of Winnipeg. "I won't plead guilty."Under the Criminal Code it is illegal for anyone to provide false information to register a firearm. Officials have said Buckley violated the Criminal Code because the information he supplied does not relate to a firearm. (YaHoo.. What Coup... I'm sure all the information on the 'gun' was true information, and there are a hell of a lot of people at the C.F.C. that are unclear as to what actually constitutes a 'firearm' anyway!!. That's why the law REQUIRES Firearms to be verified.  The government has decided to ignore this portion of their own laws! If charges are to be laid against Mr Buckley, because the government thinks this is obviously false information, then charges should ALSO be laid against the registrar at the C.F.C. who actually entered, what the government deems to be blatantly false information, into the database.  Had they just pulled the form from the queue before the information was entered, charges might have been laid. But, the Government participated by actually 'MANUALLY'  ENTERING the information into the database, and unbelievably issuing a registration certificate for a soldering 'gun'. I can practically hear the employees snickering at the C.F.C. as they pushed this through..   To see the actual registration click here(pdf file).  See the blurb below as well)
Smith & Wesson shoots ahead
SMITH & WESSON, the US gun maker, has seen a massive 1,000 per cent rise in profits since being sold by its British owner last May — thanks mainly to Americans rushing out to arm themselves after September 11. The ownership of Smith & Wesson by Tomkins was a  disaster, mainly because of the UK company’s ground-breaking pact with the US Government that limited sales of the company’s firearms. No other US gun maker followed and gun dealers boycotted Smith & Wesson  products over what they saw as red tape. (It's nice to see them back.. One of the best deterrents of home break-in, is a little sign in the corner of your front window that says "This Property is Protected by the Fine Products of Smith & Wesson. There is NOTHING inside my home that is worth your Life!")
Privacy Commissioner will be investigating the Privatization of the Gun Registry(.pdf file)
There have been 156+ Breaches of the RCMP Computer, The private computers will be a piece of cake for any gang member with a girlfriend or blackmail victim working within this system. Do YOU feel as if your living in a "Culture of Safety"? I didn't think so)
CHALLENGE TO GUN LAW GATHERS STEAM
Greg Ahenakew's got a gun. None of your business where he keeps it - he hasn't registered it, and he isn't
about to. The vice-chief of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is taking his scofflaw stance a little
further than the average mad-as-hell Canadian gun owner. The FSIN launches a lawsuit this week against
Ottawa to win an exemption for treaty natives from the feds' gun-control law.(In a weird twist of fate, the white man, having given guns to the indians 300 years ago.  May now have to depend on them, for 'our' legal rights to keep ours!..)
The Firearms Act "Culture of Safety" Continues
MONTREAL - Yves Albert was a devoted father who had  never had a brush with the law, but on Thursday night he became the ninth innocent victim of Quebec's biker  war when he was shot in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.Mr. Albert, 34, was filling his dark green Chrysler  Intrepid with gas near his home in Saint-Eustache, just north of Montreal, when two men pulled up in a van and opened fire. He was hit by several bullets and died almost instantly. (This man (or the other nine before him) WAS NOT shot by a 'Duck Hunter' or 'Target Shooter' These people were shot by  'Criminal's' You know, the ones that ARE NOT controlled by the firearms act. Maybe next in the Quest to Keep us Safe, The Liberals will spend another Billion on controlling those dangerous 'Fishermen'! As any harebrained politician knows, fish live in water, and hundreds of people die every year by drowning.. I know!!! Lets register and Licence all the Water?)
When Guns Are Banned!
JOLLY OLD ENGLAND IS NOW EXPERIENCING THE TRUTH
As a result of the burgeoning black market in illegal firearms, the British  Association of Chief Police Officers estimates that there will be a 20 percent rise in gun crime this year, making it the third straight year of steep increases. The British Home Office reports that handgun crime is at its highest since 1993, while overall gun crimes have never been higher. Criminal use of handguns since the 1997 ban has jumped by 40 percent.  According to Associated Press, "Dave Rodgers, vice chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation, said the ban made little difference to the  number of guns in the hands of criminals." He acknowledged, "The  underground supply of guns does not seem to have dried up at all." (Just as locks only succeed in keeping out the honest, Gun laws affect the law abiding far more than they affect the criminal. Remember, England is a country where the use of a firearm for self defence can get you thrown in jail! No wonder criminals are not too worried about getting shot by their victims. Like the Gun Control Freaks often say: "If it Saves only ONE life".. Unfortunately, the life that is usually saved, is the criminal's)
Finally!! Alliance Stability. Chrétien's Worst Nightmare..
Harper, 42, a former Reform MP, captured  55 per cent of the votes cast, winning the leadership on the first ballot and sparing the party two more weeks of infighting in a run-off vote.(Now to get down to the job at hand! And that's finally getting rid of this wasteful Liberal Dictatorship, that has absolutely no regard for the public and continues on their quest for "Power At Any Cost")
What Constitutes a Registration Certificate Anyway?
This 'Bulletin' attempts to sort out the myriad of different attempts to produce the 'cheapest' piece of crap they could legally, possibly call a 'firearms registration certificate' and get away with it.
The Free Registration Produces some Novel Ideas
Now you know just how much attention is paid to the registration of  firearms by the Canadian Firearms Centre! Someone Registered a Black and Decker / Weller Soldering Gun (Frame only mind you). This (not fire but a lot of heat) Arm was registered as 'non-restricted' FIN No.3129514, with 110 Volt AC Action. Now, this may very well be a counterfeit registration certificate, because any 10 year old kid with a basic computer, and printer can manufacture registrations for just about anything that are indistinguishable from the real thing. What ever the real thing might be, because it's highly unlikely that even the C.F.C. could distinguish between the one they issued, and a forgery/duplicate. Has anyone registered a Caulking Gun? A Staple Gun? A Glue Gun? Grease Gun? Did the CBC Register the "Chicken Cannon"? Do Your 'Pets' own any Guns? Does a Contractor have to register 'Gunite'? )
Behold!!! Canada's UnArmed Forces. And Don't Forget to Thank a Liberal For Our Future International Incapability's
Over the last decade, Canada has let its military erode under the belief that it might contribute "soft power" to the Western arsenal. To the extent anyone believed in this conceit, Sept. 11 destroyed it. Any nation today that seeks to be relevant in shaping world affairs and effective in the good fight to defend liberal democracy must be able to project might around the globe. Canada is close to losing that ability. There is time, but not much, for us to remain relevant in the post-Sept. 11 world.(Stick around for a FOURTH TERM Jean!!! You'll be right up there with Mulroney on the popularity scale. Because "REAL PATRIOTS DON'T VOTE LIBERAL" Pass it on!! We have three years to get this across.)
Fla. Video Store Robbers "BlockBusted", By Armed Parent
The father of an employee at an Orange City video store shot and killed an armed suspect during a robbery Monday night. Robert Shockey, 50, had been picking up his son from work since a robbery at the store about a month earlier.  "He came here, as he has just about every night for the last 30 days. The two black males entered the store, pulled a rifle, and demanded money. He was already armed with his firearm, pulled his firearm, and shot both of them," Volusia County Sheriff's Capt. Dave Hudson said. Officials believe Shockey had a permit to carry the weapon and said the shooting was justified. (Same scene in Canada would headline: "BlockBuster Employee, and parent shot during armed robbery.. Call was placed to 911, by the alarm company, but the perpetrators were gone by the time police arrived.  Police are now viewing the security video tape, and are seeking witnesses in this double homicide/robbery")
Cops want more air guns registered
Canadian Firearms Centres spokesman David Austin said it's nothing  new that some air guns with a high enough muzzle velocity are  considered firearms that must be registered.  The muzzle-velocity figure has been in place since new federal  gun-control legislation passed in 1995.  The fact that the number of air guns classified as firearms for registration is increasing also makes sense, he said. As new air gun  models are introduced, more of them need to be registered. "It changes constantly. The numbers keep going up," he said. (Actually, this is 'good news' The more innocent people that are affected by this ill conceived legislation the better,. It will also add MILLIONS of guns to the number that must be registered by the government, already recognized by anyone with a brain in their head as an 'impossible' task.. In the 205 working days left before the 2003 deadline, the feds must register over 24,000 guns per day just to meet the 5,100,000 they say are left to be registered, and that does not include ANY air guns... Can you say "Amnesty after Amnesty after Amnesty until the Liberals are gone"? ...Sure... I knew you could..)
Inaction Figure "Peace Keeper Jean" is now "Parasitic Jean"
No more money for defence: PM  Forces 'may as well rent': No need for planes while U.S. is there to help, Chrétien says
OTTAWA - Jean Chrétien said last night Canada will rent planes and use U.S. forces as a taxi service in the war against terrorism rather than increase funding for troops involved in combat for the first time since the Korean War.(While dumping MILLIONS of dollars down the 'sinkhole' of the C.F.C. in the the misguided Liberal Agenda to disarm Canada from with-in, as well as militarily, should ensure that in the future, all Canadian will know that, "Real Patriots Don't Vote Liberal"..Pass it on!!)

ACCORDING TO THE LAW, MANY AIR GUN OWNERS ARE NOW CRIMINALS.
Ottawa – Today, Garry Breitkreuz, the Official Opposition’s gun control critic, released a list of 286 air gun models that the RCMP has now identified as firearms under the definitions section of the Criminal Code of Canada.  “Our sources inside the RCMP advised us of the change in policy in November of 2000.  We immediately issued a news release warning air gun owners that they would need to apply for a firearms licence before the December 31, 2000, deadline and register their air guns before the December 31, 2002, deadline,” said Breitkreuz.  “At the time, Department of Justice and RCMP officials told the media that there had been ‘no change in policy.’  However, a year later I obtained documents from the RCMP proving that the policy had, in fact, been changed on March 6, 2000.”  (Note: See Breitkreuz’s November 19, 2001, news release on his website at: http://www.garrybreitkreuz.com/breitkreuzgpress/GunControl48.htm (The list of air guns classified as firearms is located here:  http://www.garrybreitkreuz.com/publications/rcmplistofairgunmodels.htmCongratulations!!! You may ALREADY be a winner of the new title  "Liberal Created Criminal")
The bias against handguns
While exaggerated claims about the evil of guns generally get respectful treatment in the media, no such attention is accorded to facts which suggest that the case for  guns as a means of crime prevention may be more than a National Rifle Association myth. John R. Lott, an economist who is now a senior research scholar at Yale Law School, has published studies that conclude that state laws allowing any citizen with no criminal record to obtain a concealed weapon permit lead to lower rates of  violent crime, including murder. (Hand guns in Canada are almost always associated with criminals. Most City dwellers would be amazed to know they are not illegal. As a result, the uneducated consensus is: criminals have guns, so guns equal crime. The people of this country MUST be educated to accept the fact that they can legally defend themselves, and firearms safety courses for children make it safer for everybody)
Johannesburg now, London later. In about 10 years
South African-style armed raiders will be here(The London Times)
How will I know if I’m OK to shoot someone?” Deiter Schallen, the firearms instructor teaching me to handle  the Smith & Wesson .38 Special I’d bought a few weeks earlier, replied: “If ever you’re in a situation that calls for  you to shoot, you’ll never have to ask yourself that question.” Eight months later I had good cause to remember him telling me that. (The Canadian Liberals have directly passed on the "success", and "Culture of Safety" of our own misguided gun control laws to South Africa. Looks like its working real well there too! This story is a MUST READ)
Our customs officials don't need guns(Toronto Star ! what else)
MYTH AND misconception are contributing to the  foolish notion that Canada will be safer if border guards carry guns. An unholy and surely temporary alliance of the union representing some 3,600-border officials and those who live on the political right is arm-twisting Revenue Minister Elinor Caplan to do the wrong thing for the wrong reasons. They want the wisely reluctant Caplan to arm the thin line of customs officers stationed at nearly 150 border posts.(What a complete Load of Hoplophobic Drivel.. Want to send a letter to the editor? lettertoed@thestar.ca)
167 U.K. citizens have been killed by handguns since they were banned
Nearly 170 people have been killed by handguns in mainland Britain since private possession of pistols became illegal in 1997, Lord Rooker confirms. The Home Office Minister told Tory former Cabinet minister  Lord Tebbit that there had been 160 homicides using a handgun in England and Wales and seven in Scotland since the passage of the Firearms Acts in the wake of the Dunblane school massacre.(This is the same 'success' rate every other country that bans firearms seems to enjoy.. Lots of dead citizens!! When YOU are unarmed, the 'Criminals' are in control!)
Liberals ignored warnings AS USUAL
Despite the concerns of law-enforcement and security experts, the Chrétien government went ahead with plans to disband the ports police in 1996, turning over control of security inside the ports to a mix of private security companies, local police and the RCMP.  Last month, a Senate committee on national security and defence, chaired by Senator Colin Kenny,  issued a stinging indictment of security deficiencies in Canada's ports and their possible links to organized crime and terrorism. "There has never been another instance where [Canadian law enforcement] has been more clear and unanimous in its recommendations to the government and they were rejected," Mr. Newark said. "If they are looking for a source of the problem, they need only look in the mirror."(Just like the sticker says, "Objects in mirror ARE dumber than they appear!")
Canada tougher on drunk drivers than most nations, Safety Council says
OTTAWA - Canada already treats impaired drivers more severely than most other countries, including those with lower blood-alcohol content limits, concludes a study to be released today by the Canada Safety Council.(Ya sure!!! Canada is a country where your grandmother can be fined and jailed for having a forgotten old .22 in the closet. But, you can liquor up, and careen down the road in a 4000 lb guided missile, and wont get jail time until your 3rd or forth offence!)
Why do legal authorities oppose the right to self-defence?from www.bcwf.bc.ca
Squeamish liberals suggest (when the rest of their arguments fall flat) that it's somehow uncivilized for people to walk  around armed. It brutalizes society; it makes violence acceptable. But the corollary is that while accepting violence brutalizes, accepting crime doesn't. It's uncivilized for a woman to carry Mace in her purse or for a shopkeeper to keep a gun -- but submitting meekly to being sexually assaulted, or being robbed four times a year, is civilized. Juries don't buy that. Twelve ordinary men and women rarely consider surrendering to evil more "civilized" than resisting it. (It's always better to be "judged by twelve, than carried by six")
It's war, but not yet?
Amid the fawning saturation media coverage that accompanies Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's every public appearance and utterance, the most widely rerun television clip these days seems to be one of Hussein standing on a balcony defiantly firing a large hunting rifle.(If the Globe and Mail was anymore 'left wing' It would fly in ever decreasing circles until it vanished up it own asshole... I guess the word 'Assault Rifle' has worn off, and now their trying to associate 'Hunting Rifles' with terrorists and despots)
Nixon loathed Trudeau and Ottawa
"That Trudeau, he's a clever son of a bitch. You see, he's on that side of that  Canada liberation movement," he tells Haldeman. "He's trying to play both sides so he has them out there and he sort of tries to give us a little colour guard. (Wow!! Tricky Dicky would have 'really' loved the Doddling Old Fart we have in Ottawa Now!!)
Banning Guns Won't Stop Terrorism John R. Lott Jr.
Yet, even though the largest mass killing in American history was committed just six months ago without one gun or one bullet, some think the threat of terrorism requires more gun control.(Gun Control for the purpose of controlling the guns of law abiding citizens, is always based largly on hysteria, and ignorance. Don't confuse them with facts. Like the Canadian Liberals, they have a gun control  agenda that is based more on 'control' than guns..)
Sword man attempts robbery on gun shop
A man has been charged after trying to rob a gun shop in Japan with a bamboo sword. Hiroyasu Tata allegedly burst into the shop in Ichinomiya brandishing his bamboo sword. He demand the owner hand over guns and rifles, say police. Instead the owner grabbed the sword and wrestled Tata to the ground. He is in custody charged with attempted robbery.(Well..Well.. Someone that IS potentially dumb enough to bring a knife to a gunfight!! If criminals don't have a gun, they'll use what ever they can to rob you anyway.. Gun control does not reduce crime, even in over controlled japan!)
Peel Regional Police - Loaded gun seized during P.O.P. Project
Two Men were charged with Careless Transport of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Weapon, Tamper with a Serial Number, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. They will appear for their bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, on Thursday, March 14, 2002.(It's great to see another illegal gun off the streets, but the unfortunate thing is these guys will not be sentenced to ANYTHING remotely like the Firearms Act, or the Criminal Code says.. If not bargained away as usual, they will get a couple of months at best.. Not much of a criminal deterrent Eh!)
Kenya cancels firearms bonfire
Nairobi - Kenya will not burn 10 000 illegal weapons at a public bonfire in downtown Nairobi after all, the Foreign Ministry said on Thursday. The bonfire of small arms collected over the past decade had been scheduled for Friday in Nairobi's central Uhuru Park. But the Foreign Ministry said the ceremony had been "postponed indefinitely". The ministry offered no explanation for the change.(Rumour has it that someone told these misinformed fools that guns, being largely composed of metal, WON'T BURN)
U.S. Gun Rights Advocates Chalk Up State Wins
Gun rights groups, bolstered by safety concerns in the wake of Sept. 11, are turning to state legislatures to reverse bans or restrictions on carrying concealed weapons. And the efforts appear to be paying off.(Its too bad Canadians don't have a 'real' democratic government. You know, the kind of government that 'listens' to the people, and not just to poorly informed bureaucrats with personal goals)
CLICK!! A Light goes on in The U.K.
A senior officer with North Wales Police has  said that patrol officers in the UK should be routinely armed. "Where you're  confronted with someone holding a shotgun or a rifle or a pistol, the only thing that's going to protect you and protect the public effectively is going to be a firearm." (And WHY would this statement ONLY apply to the Police?)
Chrétien to quiz U.S. on nuclear intentions
Mr. Bush will hold a dinner for Prime Minister Jean Chrétien at the White House. Mr. Chrétien has promised to press for an explanation of a  recent Pentagon policy review on the use of nuclear weapons and for action on U.S. tariffs raised against imports of Canadian softwood lumber. (Well, I'm sure the Canadian 'inaction figure' Peacekeeper Jean, will surely look into the nuclear 'thing' because eveyone knows his stance on this subject "pourquoi achèter des carabines à répétition et de l'armement nucléaire -- quand c'est à la maison  un enfant peut jouer avec ça"English Translation:"Why buy repeater carbines and nuclear armament -- if this is kept at home a child can play with it". Prime Minister Jean Chretien French CBC (SRC), Montreal 1997 May 21 I rest my case!)
'Deadly' Canadian snipers cut down enemy fighters
Snipers are part of a battalion's reconnaissance platoon. Their job is to  figure out how to get as close to the enemy as possible. They are experts in camouflage and concealment, and can pick off human prey with rifles from as far away as 900 metres, or the length of nine football fields. Canada's snipers — there are only a few dozen — learn their trade at the Combat Training Centre at CFB Gagetown in New Brunswick.(I got 20 bucks that says every one of these young men came from a rural environment, and learned to shoot years before joining the Canadian Military. This is where the 'good' shots always come from. But ten more years of Liberal gun control laws should just about dry up this source, and another skill of the Canadian Soldier will fall by the wayside. I wonder how many city yuppies would make good snipers, or given the current stock, even good soldiers ? )
Legion victim of 'artificial or deactivated object that looks like a' gun theft
ORILLIA (Special) — Security is being beefed up at the Orillia branch of the Royal Canadian Legion after three youths showed up at a high school with two semi-automatic handguns stolen from a glass display case in the legion. The guns were inoperable. ``By the time we're finished, anyone trying to steal from that case will have to be prepared to take the wall it's attached to,'' said Ray Bowden, branch president.Police have taken all the guns for safekeeping. OPP will also determine whether the guns were improperly stored at the legion, Stewart said. (If the guns were properly rendered 'inoperable', then they are not guns, simply stolen objects without any legal storage requirements. They would only become 'Artificial' Firearms when presented as 'real'  firearms by the kids that stole them)
PM, known as 'Dino' at White House, heads to Washington
WASHINGTON - White House officials are known to have a nickname for Jean Chrétien that says something about the less than warm relationship between the Prime Minister and George W. Bush. It's Dino. As in dinosaur. "There's a sense that he's this unreconstructed guy who hasn't quite changed with the world, that he  doesn't quite get it."(Really? Their just finding that out now? Dino eh! I consider the guy to be a 'DOF', meaning 'Doddling Old Fart'..)
Man Shot by Police, On Parole for Previous Police Shooting!
His parole was revoked early last year and a warrant was issued for his arrest after he escaped from police in Laval. He bolted over rooftops after they searched his vehicle and found a gun, balaclava and gloves.(The Police associations should appreciate that Instead of hiring more police, building more courts & prisons and hiring a COMPETENT parole board. The Liberals who feel there's no such thing as 'real' criminals,  just misunderstood, un rehabilitated offenders, spent a billion dollars harassing duck hunters.)
Biting The Bullet: U.K. Residents Speak Out
Ask government to simplify and relax firearms legislation: the pistol ban has shown all too clearly that restrictions do not cut armed crime, they merely alienate law abiding shooters and increase police paperwork: time and money wasted which could be better used attacking those who possess guns for illegal purposes. In American states where concealed carry permits are encouraged the criminal use of guns has fallen dramatically: the potential threat of being shot discourages all but the most hardened crooks.  Use common sense when dealing with reports of people with  guns — wildfowlers on the marshes and pigeon shooters in stubble fields do not require the sending of armed response units at great expense, they should be used to harrass criminals instead. (Don't confuse the Government with facts! They know much better that you or I, what 'they' want. The Police in Barrie Ontario shut down a whole area and put up a road block last summer! Why? There were a couple of guys back in the 'WOODS' shooting clays, and some 'gun-o-phobe', recently moved up from Toronto, hears gunshots, and called the police. I can only assume the police swat team responded as a 'training exercise' The shooters were 'detained' and not charged but their entire afternoon was ruined, and a lot of taxpayer money was wasted. When you hear shots coming from the WOODS, in a RURAL area, What the hell would YOU think it was, and would it require a 'Swat Team' Response?)
Liberals break policy, award $62M in contracts to friendly firm
OTTAWA - A Montreal firm with close Liberal ties has dominated the federal government's sponsorship  program by landing about $62-million in contracts during the past five years, breaking the government's contract policy rules in the process.(Rules?? What Rules?? This dictatorship could give a rats ass about it's own rules. If it wants something done, it simply creates a new tax to 'over pay' for it, and does what it wants. By the way, these contracts were awarded to the same company that was paid 500,000+ for the 'Vapourware' reports that have somehow mysteriously vanished.. If if they ever existed at all?)
For the gun enthusiast who has $400 and 144 rubber bands
Officials at Canada Customs and Revenue Agency say the rubber-band machine guns seem to meet Canada's tight laws on gun importation. "This should be OK to bring into the country. It shouldn't be a problem. We all agree it is not a firearm," said Colette Gentes-Hawn, spokeswoman for Canada Customs.(Seeing that they don't even check firearm serial numbers as required, or if in fact a firearm ever leaves the country, or a number of other 'regulations' that are routinely ignored,  a rubber band gun might be confiscated as an afterthought. After all, the entire firearms system in this country is based on 'afterthought, after afterthought' and is no more complicated than the Canadian income tax system.)
PRIME MINISTER’S OBJECTIVE FOR THE GUN REGISTRY IS NOT BEING MONITORED
“Auditor General’s 1993 directive to evaluate the effectiveness of gun control programs is being ignored too.”
On April 22, 1999, Prime Minister Jean Chretien was quoted in the National Post clearly stating that the goal of the new gun registry is to make “less guns available.”  On August 2, 2001, Breitkreuz filed an ATI request asking for “thegovernment’s short-term and long-term projections of the number of guns and gun owners in Canada.”  On January 9, 2002, the government provided 115 pages of records without any short-term and long-term projections as requested.  Three pages were not disclosed because they were declared Cabinet secrets.  Breitkreuz has filed a complaint with the Information Commissioner of Canada. (Under new rules, the Liberals can declare any thing that might be embarassing to the Liberal Party, as a "Cabinet Secret". And, you
can bet your ass, there are going to be a lot of cabinet secrets right up until these dictators are thrown out of office. And, at that point, you can bet your ass again, that the paper shredders will be working just as hard as they were the 'last' time the Liberals were bounced. It's truly unfortunate that Canadian voters have such short memorys)
Those potato guns no laughing matter
The former San Diego County undersheriff has introduced legislation that would classify the homemade guns as destructive devices – the same category reserved  for bombs and grenades. Possession would be a felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison.  "You're igniting nothing more than a bomb out of scrap metal that can hurt several people, including yourself," said La Suer, R-La Mesa. (Problem Solved, No flammable fuel needed, launch your spuds with AIR POWER.. Just like the Famous Canadian "Chicken Cannon")
Chicks With Guns! The hoplophobic view
The women at Mount Holyoke, who have formed the first collegiate chapter of Second Amendment Sisters, a national women's pro-gun group, reflect the times. Alas, one of the most far-reaching  consequences of 9/11 is a surge in gun sales around  the country. So while we don't know whether more Americans will be killed by anthrax, we can be quite confident that plenty of us will be killed by these additional guns. (The writer of this story, is obviously either one of  'those' silly, irrational, gun-o-phobes, that can't understand why women don't want to be victims anymore,  and doesn't want to be bothered by a lot of silly old facts.., OR a RAPIST that will be one of the "plenty of us" killed that he spoke about )
When Asked, "Where can I register my Gun"? Just say Phuket
National police chief Pol Gen Sant Sarutanont said the owners of illegal guns would be given a deadline to register their weapons. Pol Gen Sant said he was aware that more illegal firearms were in circulation throughout the country, especially in the hands of hired gunmen. Only Phuket police and other law enforcers would be allowed to carry weapons.(Well!! I can see all those hired gunmen lining up to register or hand in their weapons.. Hmmm Phuket you say?)
MORE (where only the criminals are armed) U.K. 'Gun control' Successes.
A FAMILY were tied up and robbed in their own home by a gang of gun-toting raiders.  The four men, two of whom were carrying firearms, burst into a house in  Pitsmoor, Sheffield, on Friday night and tied up two women, a man and a 14-year-old. Children aged two and four were upstairs in bed at the time.  The robbers escaped with cash, jewellery and a television after tying up the victims with telephone wire.  South Yorkshire Police said the family had been left "very shocked" by the incident.(Whats so Shocking? If your unable to defend yourself, you are GOING to be a victim)
Invisible Report on Liberal Funding of Hunting & Fishing!
The Chrétien government has paid a company with close Liberal ties a total of $550,000 to produce a report of  which no trace can be found, documents  obtained by The Globe and Mail show. It will now prove difficult for the government to defend the $1.1-million in contracts to a generous Liberal donor, with little to show for its payment but 122 pages for the second report. In the case of the $575,000 report, Ottawa paid Groupaction to undertake two specific tasks in 1999-2000: Evaluate Ottawa's effort to sponsor hunting and fishing shows and list various events that could be sponsored by the federal government and Crown corporations.(Even IF they find it, (It probably doesn't even exist) The Liberals can declare it 'Secret' if they think it might harm them, and not release it anyway.. They only thing they've done for hunting and fishing anyway, is to drive more people out of the sport with their incoherent mess of a firearms act)
Have YOU Moved, and forgot to change your address?
The 33-year-old man was arrested when Hamilton, Halton and Waterloo police raided a Newlands Avenue home Tuesday looking for the 7.62mm military assault  rifle registered to him. Hamilton police media relations officer Sergeant Maggie McKittrick said the gun was bought legally in 1989 and was registered to the man's Kanata address. It was re-classified as a prohibited weapon a few years later.  Police, who searched the house on a public safety warrant, seized a "significant  amount of cash'' a flick knife, quantities of marijuana and hashish, ammunition and a large pellet gun. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of  trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm in a place other than entitled to possess. (Gee!! I'm Also Glad they got that LARGE Pellet gun off the streets)
Unlicenced Criminal with a firearm gets Sig Sauer'd in Police Shootout
The dead man lay on his stomach, his  head turned to the side, with what appeared to be a bullet wound clearly visible in his forehead, and his arms handcuffed behind his back. The 28-year-old officer was injured and one suspect fatally wounded by return  fire from the officers' Sig Sauer .40 calibre pistols. A second male suspect was taken into custody but had not been charged last night.(Well, as you can see, the money wasted on the firearms act has done nothing to prevent the injuring of another police officer just trying to do his job, and get home to his family. TAKE THE MONEY BEING WASTED ON THE C.F.C. AN PUT MORE POLICE ON THE STREET!!)
Gun Lobby: Media downplayed role of gun owners in subduing shooter
"If the media don't convey an outright aversion to guns, there's certainly a reluctance to celebrate them," he said. "Many people working for large media companies did not grow up in a rural setting, where hunters use guns all the time." But he did acknowledge being "shocked" upon learning that students carrying guns had helped subdue the gunman. "I thought, `my God, they're putting into jeopardy even more people by bringing out these guns,'" Stokes  said. (There you have it! A great example of Liberal city dwelling yuppie thinking!. Only a complete idiot would think that law abiding people successfully using their firearms (without firing a shot mind you) to prevent more deaths, would add to the danger of the situation.)
Race Based Law, Alive and Well in Canada!
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation, which was an intervener in the case, immediately condemned Campbell's ruling.  "Welcome to the start of taxpayer apartheid," said Richard Truscott, who handles aboriginal issues for the federation.  "It appears that the court has decided a certain group of Canadians, based on racial ancestry, will be exempt from paying taxes - all taxes, for all time, no matter where they reside in the country." "We assured them that the treaty would not lead to any forced interference with their mode of life, that it did not open the way to the imposition of any tax." (The firearms act is ALSO a "forced interference with their mode of life" and this will no doubt provide evidence for it's illegal, racial application to only non aboriginal Canadians)
High court says gun maker not liable in death
The ruling rejects the contention by the mother of 3-year-old Jordan Garris that the Ruger semiautomatic pistol should be considered defective  because it lacked a lock to make it childproof. The argument by Melissa M. Halliday failed in two lower courts and was blocked from going before a Baltimore jury. In a 6-1 ruling the court said: "There was no malfunction of the gun; regrettably, it worked exactly as it  was designed and intended to work and as any ordinary consumer would have expected it to work," the majority concluded in its 6-1 ruling. "What caused this tragedy was the carelessness of Jordan's father in leaving the weapon and the magazine in places where the child was able to find them, in contravention not only of common sense but of multiple warnings given to him at the time of purchase." (ANYONE leaving a firearm where a child of ANY age can have unsupervised access to it, should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. When you take a firearm out of storage 'for any reason' THINK, before you leave it unattended, for even the shortest period of time. Children are curious, Curiosity should only kill cats! )
The Rising Crime in OZ has 'some' coming to their senses
New Attorney-General Michael Atkinson said yesterday he wanted to  amend criminal law to enable people protecting their property more  leeway to defend it against home-invaders in whatever way they believed  necessary. "It is not for judges and jurors to decide what force is reasonable for a householder to use when faced with a thief in their home in hours of darkness," he said. "But one of the risks is that it could reduce restraint; equally it might make people think twice before breaking into houses." While Mr Kourakis said it was unlikely to make much difference to how  people acted, he believed the change in the law should be extended to include defence of person and property outside the home, and car jackings.(It's not law yet, but it 'does' acknowledge crime is worse than it was 'before' criminals started feeling safer because of  knee jerk gun control laws and subsequent confiscation's)
Man arrested in two ATM robberies
February 10, 2002, at around 2:00 p.m., the victim a 47-year-old Brampton man, attended a bank machine located at 6266 Dixie Road. After completing a transaction, he was confronted by a man armed with a black handgun. On Monday, February 25, 2002, at around 11:45 p.m., the victim, a 37-year-old Mississauga man, attended a bank machine located at 6240 Dixie Road. After completing a transaction he was approached by a lone male culprit. The victim was forced by gunpoint into the passenger side of his vehicle, restrained and his banking information was obtained. (Thanks to the gun control freaks of this country, I am not allowed to carry my handgun while going to the local bank machine or night deposit box with the business receipts. A friend of mine was whacked in the head by some ass with a pistol during a robbery while making a night deposit at the local bank. He is now forced to hire a armed security company to pick up his deposit. WHY!! Most of the armed security people have far less experience in firearms handling and safety than the average IPSC or PPC enthusiasts at your local shooting club. Why do I have to pay good money for something I'm more than qualified to do myself, simply because of  the ignorance and paranoia of the uneducated? Why are there bank machine victims? Because the criminal KNOWS he's in no Danger of  being shot, but the Victim IS)
New lieutenant-governor knows racism
A lifetime ago — but in some ways only a moment ago — he was known as "dirty half-breed.'' In the Ontario of the 1940s and '50s, that's what children born of mixed white and native marriages were called.(It's about time... Congratulations to His Excellency.  Now, the only thing  I wonder about, is why the "Minister of Indian Affairs" is a white man? Putting things in perspective, if there were such a thing as "Minister of Black Affairs" what do you think the outcry would be if  THAT appointment was given to a White Man? )
Sex attack suspect beaten by passerby
EDMONTON (CP) — A man accused of sexually  assaulting three Edmonton women and injuring another woman with a knife took a vicious beating from an unknown vigilante after being collared in a citizen's arrest, his trial was told Tuesday.(It's Always nice to read a story with a happy ending ... Enjoy!)
US pilots demand cockpit guns
American pilots are pushing their claims to be allowed guns on the flight deck despite opposition from the Bush administration. United Airlines has bought 1,300 stun guns and is training its 9,000 pilots to use them. But the pilots' union says the weapons - which use an electrical current to disable an attacker  temporarily - would be impractical against a group of hijackers. (And, EVERY one of the Sept. 11th Planes had Multiple Hijackers on board. All a stun Gun will do, is piss off the rest of the hijackers and probably get several people killed. The flight crew should be armed with 'visible' firearms secured in Holsters , NOT in locked boxes on the flight deck. I would much rather see the Capt. of my airliner packing a gun on his hip, then having access to a stungun in a locked box. I guess we'll just have to wait until another tragedy happens, before the anti-gun freaks realize their irrational fears have just killed another several thousand people)
Heed the facts, not emotions(Letter to the editor S.A.)
RECENTLY, the UK banned the private ownership of handguns, and drastically restricted the ownership of other types of firearms.  There has also recently been a dramatic increase in the criminal use of firearms in Britain, and it was reported in the weekend press that British doctors are being sent to this country to study the treatment of gunshot wounds.   While this demonstrates, once again, that the disarming of responsible citizens does not of itself reduce the incidence of firearms-related crime in any society, I doubt that the antigun lobby will take any notice, as their cause is emotionally rather than intellectually driven. (It usually has the opposite effect, the unarmed and defenceless make good targets for the 'always' armed criminal)
Property Rights For Canadians Under Liberal Rule? Not F'n Likely
That the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights fully examine the effectiveness of property rights protection for Canadian  citizens as provided in the Canadian Bill of Rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and report back to the House whether  or not the federal laws protecting property rights need to be amended in order to comply with the international agreements Canada has  entered into, including Article 17 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights that states: “1. Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. 2. No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.”.(Liberals, Bloc Quebecois, and NDP Oppose Property Rights Motion )
Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights
COMMITTEE EVIDENCE  Tuesday, February 5, 2002
Today we will be considering a motion presented last week by Mr. Toews: that the committee or a subcommittee study and hear witnesses with regard to the total cost and economic impact of the Firearms Act.  In the response to part (b) of my question, if this had really been the answer to the questions on economic impact, why did the Department of Justice declare the entire 115-page report on the economic impact of the gun registry a cabinet secret? That, I think, is something that has to be answered. (The Liberals only reason to declare something such as this report, to be 'secret' only means that it proves the legislation to be ineffective and damaging to the economy.. To release it, might be 'politically' damaging!)
MP TAKES DEAD AIM AT GUN REGISTRY (www.garrybreitkreuz.com)
The Yorkton-Melville MP is one of the hardest-working legislators you'll find in Canada. Rarely does more than a day pass without Breitkreuz's office releasing another damning report or study on Canada's flawed gun control laws. Even more rarely does Breitkreuz's work make the front pages of the country's newspapers -- or get any ink at all. (It's absolutely amazing, the little ink this mans work gets from the largely left wing newspapers of this country. If any other Liberal project was promised to cost 'only'  $85,000,000, but instead, runs $600,000,000 over the original promise, the papers would make damn sure every Canadian was aware of the 'horribly wasteful boondoggle'.. But you see, guns are deemed to be 'evil' and therefore it would not be politically correct to point out the little loss of only 'another' billion dollars or so of your hard earned tax money. )
Ottawa shooting itself in the foot:(www.garrybreitkreuz.com)
When standard operating procedures produce the list of errors noted above at more than $600 million over the
original cost estimate of $85 million, reasonable people must demand accountability.  Government approved the
registry to make Canadian society safer.  The garbage we are seeing produced by this registry indicates we are not getting our money's worth. (Facts..Facts...Facts.. Don't bother them with Facts.. The bureaucrats, and all their friends and relatives have jobs, with great benefits.. Do you Actually think they will let something as stupid as Facts stand in their way?)
U.S. scrambles to protect targets of nuclear terror
The sensors, called gamma ray and neutron flux detectors, have been used by nuclear emergency search teams to test the claims of extortionists who say they have radioactive material.  But the teams are not trained in combat and terrorists might detonate a nuclear device if they are detected. To fight this threat, Delta Force has orders to kill or disable anyone with a suspected nuclear device.(One of the biggest threats to life, if a nuclear weapon of some type is used, will be from roving bands of  looters. Low Life's and malcontents, more than willing to kill for the opportunity to claim what's yours.. It will also be the Cukier 'types' of Canada, pleading for someone who is still armed, to protect them from the criminals who are rarely affected by 'gun control laws'.)
Much more than just "Wax on--Wax off"
The monks also practise their weapons training. To be proficient at Shaolin  kung fu, you have to pass an examination of 18 weapons, including the sword, axe, cudgel, spear, three-sectioned staff, dart and many others.(Most of which are illegal in Canada of course. So to be a 'true' Shaolin Priest in this country, one may  also be subject to arrest, and conviction on weapons offences)
Alleged Robber Killed When Manager Fights Back
Police say a man picked the wrong auto store to rob early this morning and paid with his life. Investigators say the night manager was closing shop at the Discount Auto Parts store on University Drive north of Pines Boulevard  when a 33-year-old Opa Locka man approached him with a weapon.  That's when police say the manager pulled out a gun of his own and opened fire.(The Canadian Government feels it would have been much better if the Manager was the one that had been shot by the robber! This would then reinforce their consensus that if the Manager had a gun, he would have in all probability, only injured 'himself' with it anyway!!)
Creator of East End ice sculpture warming hearts of Americans and learning about pain of Sept. 11(The Daily Press, Timmons Onatrio)
You relive that pain when, in thanking you, people tell you stories of  exactly what losses you've helped them overcome.  That's especially true if, like Darlene Racicot who created an ice sculpture of an angel comforting an exhausted New York firefighter  holding the American flag post Sept. 11, you have the imagination and compassion to put yourself in their shoes. (Click Here to see this Amazing Ice Sculpture)
Smith & Wesson, STILL The 'Point and Click' interface of choice
Life is different in a post-9-11 world with President George Bush staring down the barrel at the scourge of terrorism. It was a name the powerful gun lobby had perceived as tarnished by the company's willingness to capitulate to anti-gun sentiment in the face of a slew of lawsuits. But recently, its president, Bob Scott, was named a nominee for the National Shooting Sports Foundation "Man of the Year" award; Scott also received a standing ovation at the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association for bringing the company back to American soil. (It only makes sense. People would much rather pack a S&W than a "SafetyHammer"!!)
Simplistic left-wing U.K. MP calls for firearms crackdown
One of London's most left-wing MPs called today for a crackdown on the capital's gun culture, with a minimum
five-year prison sentence for anyone found possessing firearms. (Yup! Any criminal carrying a gun to rob or kill you, is really going to be worried about a 5 year prison term for having the gun)
Idiot who shot a hole in the Alaskan Pipeline guilty of arms charge
Daniel Carson Lewis, 37, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for  the conviction Friday of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Sentencing was set for May 6.  Lewis, who prosecutors said had eight previous felony convictions, was accused of firing a hunting rifle at the trans-Alaska oil pipeline Oct. 4. The cleanup from the leak, about 80 miles north of Fairbanks, has cost more than $7 million. Lewis still faces more extensive state charges related to the pipeline shooting. That trial is set for September. (Lets see!! if they garnishee his wages at $1000.00 per month, he'll have the whole 7 million paid off  in only 584 years)
Montreal Officer Killed by ANOTHER Un Licensed Criminal with A Gun
Benoît L'Ecuyer would  have gone home to his wife and two young children last night, but what began as a routine radar speed-trap operation  turned deadly yesterday when he was fatally shot as he tried to intercept a
speeding car. (I wonder how convinced the Police association are now, that the Liberal Firearms Act will keep them safer by targeting all those dangerous duck hunters?)
The "Last Chapter" Also an Accurate Look  at the Success of the Liberal Firearms Act, at Disarming Criminals
"We were certainly under surveillance. It seemed like they wanted us to  know they were present," says Freeman. He needn’t have worried. Once the bikers realized Ouellette was involved, they relaxed. The former Sûreté du Quebec sergeant has studied these bad guys for the last 20 years; he was forced to retire last year but he’s still tuned in and  still testifying in court. (A French investigator in the movie is based on his  career.) "I have credibility," says Ouellette. "I was told by some of them (bikers) and their lawyers that if I’m around, what they see on TV will be  factual and rigorous. It won’t be a whack of lies." (This CBC Mini series is the best thing I have seen on 'Canadian Television' in a long time. It also gives you a good idea of  how the Liberal Gun Control Farce affects the Criminal element, and that's NO EFFECT AT ALL.. Just wait until all your personal information, and firearms inventory is in 'private' hands, and fully accessible to biker gangs.. Feel Safer because of Liberal gun control? I didn't think so!)
Another Unarmed Man is Shot by a Home Invader in This Liberal "Culture of Safety"
A Scarborough man was fighting for his life last  night after being shot in an apparent home-invasion robbery. Police said the victim, in his early 20s, was shot in the chest when a gunman burst into his basement apartment in a house on Carisbrooke Sq., near Morningside Ave. and Finch Ave. E., about 7:30 p.m. He was taken to Sunnybrook hospital, where he was undergoing surgery late last night. (The law would have required this unarmed man to give up his firearms, or go through the hassle of licensing and registration.. The guy who shot him is a 'criminal' . The Firearms Act has no effect on the Criminals who shot him.)
Disrupt shooting at the Commonwealth Games?
There are increasing calls for a pro-shooting demonstration during this year’s Commonwealth Games. The Sportsman’s Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (SAGBNI) is under pressure from its former handgun-owner members and others to use the Games as a platform to voice their concerns over the 1996 and 1997 handgun bans.(While Britain continues to be over run with 'illegal' handguns, The Law abiding are forced to enjoy their competitions with "AirGuns")
Hey Dude!! You Aint Gettin A Dell!!
Gunsmith Suggests Dell Computer Is Funding Gun Control
In a message to supporters, Jack Weigand, owner of Pennsylvania-based  Weigand Combat Handguns Inc., claimed today that Dell Computer is "connected" to Handgun Control Inc., a lobbying group that changed its name to The Brady Campaign last June. (Well, I guess North America's Gun Owners will Cross that machine off their lists.. Dell Computers will just have to be satisfied with selling computers to kids for the usual violent shoot-em-up games.. I guess they don't like to support 'real sportsmen' because deer don't explode when you hit them!!)
Take Guns Away From The Law Abiding, And You Get:
A delegation of MPs from London's most violent   boroughs is to demand immediate and effective government action to stem the capital's spiralling gun crime.  Following a late-night Commons meeting last night called by Hackney MP Diane Abbott, she and the eight other MPs from Hackney, Brent and Lambeth plan to go to the
Home Office to tackle what she described as a "lawless, valueless gun culture". (What do you expect? When guns are taken from the law abiding 'culture' that has values, your left with a "lawless, valueless gun culture". The SAME culture that has been created by every 'Legal Gun' Banning Government in the world!)
