...It has been a while, hasn't it? Thanks to all who continues to visit HTAS and I am sorry to disappoint all of you by not keeping up with updates. No, I didn't lose interest in Yugioh, in fact, if anything, my interest for it actually has increased! So what has been going on with me in RL that basically kept me away from all of my sites? One familiar word: SCHOOL.

So yes, I am again swarmed with papers, tests, readings, etc. So I am sorry to say that HTAS will probably be under Hiatus for a little while longer until I have time to make more graphics and update some sections. But in the mean time, I want to again thank any HTAS loyal visitors who still visits despite the inactivities of the site. Thank you again!

On a less depressing note, I FINALLY got volume 38 of the Yugioh manga, aka the 7th, and final installment of the Yugioh memory world arch. I have wanted to read the manga version ever since I saw the anime ending of the version nearly two years ago (June 2006). While I have heard of differences b/w the anime and manga, I was still nonetheless surprised that the manga's version is unlike both the dub AND the Japanese anime version's ending. The duel is similar, but with many subtle differences. When I get a chance, I will make a detail comparison regarding the differences between the manga and the anime. Now that I have read both versions (or three if you count the dub and Japanese anime version separately), I have to say that I think I like the anime version ending much better (both anime version equally b/c they are different in their own way), apart of me reasoned that it is because I saw the anime version first, but then I think the true reason is because I think the anime version's final duel is a much more dramatic ending, which is fitting for the final duel. Anyways, I will let all of you judge for yourselves by posting the differences b/w the anime and manga version. One surprise that did jump out at me though was I never realized Silent Magician was a GIRL. Yes, I never realized that until reading the manga, because I am pretty sure (you all can agree or disagree with me here...) that both anime version showed the Silent Magician as being a guy.

Wow, I can't believe it has already been 2 years since HTAS was first started! That is right everyone, today is officially HTAS' 2nd birthday! These two years certainly has passed by fast. I remember first establishing this site when Yugioh was still at the peak of its popularity. Now, two years later, Yugioh the anime and manga has both ended and the number of fansite for the series have greatly dwindled to a few, and among those, a majory are owned by webmasters who are no longer bothered to update the site. While I was saddened by the completion of the series, it saddens me more that people are gradually forgetting this wonderful series just because it is over and "better newer things" came along. By keeping this site open and strong, I hope to show and remind people the goodness that makes up Yugioh and why it is a series that NEVER deserves to be forgotten and tossed aside like yesterday's fad. I would like to thank all the visitors who continues to visit and support this site even though my attempt at updating has been horrible, and also to the webmaster who still keep their Yugioh fansite open and updated. With the celebration of HTAS's 2nd birthday, I will give many pages new updates as well as perhaps adding a section or two (with my favorite fanfiction stories being one possible section...). So please stay tuned and I hope all of you will continue to visit this site and see to the site's 3rd birthday!

Some quick updates so far: I have made a big batch of Studio Ghibli icons that I thought all of you might enjoy. The icons are currently located at my graphics design site Klandestine Designs under the section "Avatar". So please have look if interested. And for those who have not yet visited the site yet, there are also many more anime related wallpapers as well as premade layouts for all of you to enjoy as well on Klandestine ^_^. Till next time!

I am very happy to bring you another update! This time, a brand new wallpaper featuring Dark Magician Girl has been added to the YuGiOh gifts section under "Stuff" (can anyone tell Dark Magician Girl is my favorite duel monster xp?). The image size is 800 x 600. But if you have a higher screen resolution, you can still use the wallpaper by right click on your desktop, select "properties", go to "desktop", and see that little drop down menu on the side? Select "center" instead of "stretch", which is what you might have, and then chose the background color of the desktop to be black. Then you are all set! These instructions are only for PC users though, I am not sure how Mac would work...

For users with 1024 x 768 screen resolution, there will actually be that size offered for the same wallpaper on my graphics site, Klandestine Designs . So feel free to download the wallpaper there once I loaded it up on to the site :).

Hello! Sorry for the long absence! Once again, school took over my life. With this update, I bring you one new avatar! This is my first animated YGO avatar, so hope everyone enjoys it! :) I am still in the process of updating some other sections of the site, but the process has been slow due to life, and various other things...

In other news, I have been re-watching some of the older episodes of YGO plus reading some fanfictions and they made me realize just how much I miss YGO. It is strange, how after four years and now that the show is over, I still like it just as much I did before :) I am also having some new article ideas so perhaps I can get them out not too long into the future.

HTAS got a brand new affiliate! I am sure all of you are well acquainted with Transcendence, a very comprehensive site with song parodies, humors, and much more owned by the one and only CuriousLittleBird. Check it out if you haven't yet!

I added one new avatar (see above), along with two link buttons. They all used the same DMG image because the image is so cute and also because Dark Magician Girl is my favorite Duel Monster :). Enjoy!

Sorry for the sincere lack of updates since, well, the last time I updated *look down at the last updating date with embrassment*. Anyways, I don't really have anything to update with right now, except to announce that two more links have been added under my affiliates/links out page. Please check them out as they both are awesome and unique sites. Affiliates/link exchange are always open, so feel free to apply through email if you got an anime site that you wish for me and others to check out :).

It has pleased me, and suprised me as well how much hits this site is getting currently (about 100 per day), from the look of the statistics given by Geocities anyways. I am very happy and hope that all the visitors have found, and continue to find this site to be enjoyable, and useful in finding out more about Yugioh, or Studio Gihibli movies. Thank you to all who have visited this site for your support and visit despite the lack of updates this site has been getting. I have noticed that alot of Yugioh sites have stopped updating, or just taken off site ever since the end of Yugioh approached on Kidswb. My wish is that this site will stay strong despite the show's ending because Yugioh is a show that deserves recognition and honorfor its wonderful plot and characters. If you visitors would like to suggest somethings to be added to the site, or just somethings you find that you liked on the site, like avatars or wallpapers from the YGO gift section, feel free to let me know through the guestbook or email. I would love to hear from all of you :)

And one last note, due to bandwidth restrictions, the site has went unavailable for brief periods of time on and off for the past couple of month. So don't panic if you saw a yahoo page popping up instead of a page of the site saying this site is unavailable, because try again later and it usually will be back up. I have been thinking about ways to solve this bandwidth issue, especially since the site is getting bigger. Perhaps I should get a private hosting instead? I don't know yet...but as of right now, this site will stay with Geocities. Thank you for visiting again and happy holidays ^_^

Oh dear, so much to do, so little time. I know I promised updates but as you can see I have not really done much to the site. Many sections need to be updated. Let's see, I need to:

Update the manga section, which is like a year old...
Update the graphics section, probably by adding more avatars and wallpapers
Update the survey section with results. I have recieved alot of feedbacks so a big thank you to everyone who participated :).
Probably update the rant page a little, those opinions are like a year old, although they didn't change that much.
Update Seasons and Episodes section plus Characters page with the Ancient Egyptian Arc. [EDIT 8/15] Most of the character descriptions from the Ancient Egypt Arc are already up in the YGO Character page. There are a couple left that I intend to add soon.
And last but not least, the quote and probably humor page.

There are probably more that needed to be updated, but I think I will settle with the list for now, which as you can see isn't small ^_^;. I have absolutely no intention of abandoning the site. It is hard to spread the time around with school and owning another graphics site. But Yugioh will always be my favorite anime show and this site will continue to honor it. Oh, and I did get a chance to watch the last episode of the series. It is a beautiful ending to the show, although I am still sad over the fact that Atemu left and the show ended. But it is a GREAT episode and I hope everyone get a chance to watch it.

[EDIT 8/15] A new avatar added (see above)! This is my favorite one yet since it features the very last scene from the very last episode of Yugioh Duel Monsters series! I took the screen shot and tweaked a bit by having Atem superimposed over the sky. That is what I would like the last scene to be ideally because it would indicate that Yugi and the gang still have Atem in their heart <3. The words on the avatar is quite small, so I will post them below. They are said by Yugi at the end of the Japanese episode of Yugioh:

Hey everyone! Sorry for disappearing about a month from the site. I was on vacation starting from June 9th and during that time I was not able to get an internet access on my computer. But I am back and ready to get the site going again :).

The first order of business is to wish HTAS a very happy birthday! I first started the site on July 17, 2005 and it is hard to believe the site is already a year old! A very big thanks to all the visitors of HTAS because it is you guys that is keeping this site strong ^_^. If you would like to submit something to celebrate HTAS's one year birthday, feel free to email it to me. I will post all submissions.

And lastly, request is still open so feel free to request anything that you would like to see on HTAS.

With school almost over I am updating more frequently now ^_^. Many updates will be coming soon. I recently bought the first and second volume of Yu-Gi-Oh Memory World manga *huggles them both* from a local book store with a surprisingly large collection of mangas. Sadly, the two volumes I bought are the only two volumes they have on the Memory World, or I would have bought more. Anyways, I have finished reading them and will be adding the summaries and such in the Manga Section of Yu-Gi-Oh and also some quotes (and there are many goods ones in these two volumes too ^_^). So watch out for the updates!

I also managed to watch the sneak peak of Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters Movie online Monday night. It was actually pretty good and I enjoyed alot. For those of you who did not get a chance to watch it, or have streaming difficulties (for me it was thankfully minor because I have cable, but there were still pauses in between scenes, so it took longer to watch the entire show than it should have), I will have a overview of the show up soon. It is confirmed that WB will air the Capsule Monster series this fall so I will be covering that as well.

*GASP* Hikari actually updated?! Yes, I know, there should be no excuse for my almost a month of absence from HTAS. However, I do have a GOOD excuse. What is it, you might ask? It is actually those little pestering mind torturing things known as exams. That's right, I was literally swamped with exams for the past two weeks and I barely had time for sleep, let alone updating...-_-;

I actually don't have any content update today, sorry about that everyone, but since the exams are finally over, I can resume making graphics or add content to the site, so be on the look out ^_^. I do have some news regarding Yu-Gi-Oh that you all might be interested in. As some of you might have heard already, 4-Kids, the company responsible for dubbing YGO is releasing a sort of "lost" series of Yu-Gi-Oh, meaning the episodes they are releasing have never been seen before and doesn't really fit in between any of the YGO seasons already aired. Yes, this new series, called Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monsters, features the ORIGINAL cast of YGO, not the GX characters, on a journey to a secret world of Capsule Monsters where they traded in their duel disks for capsule monsters shooters. The series is going to be a direct to DVD release and should be out by May 23rd, 2006. More details about this can be found HERE.

Also in the news is that a live streaming of the series is going to be online to celebrate its release. The time is scheduled to be MAY 22, 2006 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT. I personally cannot wait and hope that the Capsule Monsters series will live up to its orginial Duel Monster's Series' quality. So be sure to tune in...

P.S. Apparently this Capsule Monsters Series has no relation to the Capsule Monsters Game introduced in the early YGO mangas.
