Yu-Gi-Oh is a show filled with heart, romance, comedy, mystery, and action. The show focuses on the adventures and hardships of one very sweet boy named Yugi and his friends.

The show starts of with Yugi being introduced as a great duelist amongst his friends. When Seto Kaiba, the incredibly wealthy president of Kaiba Corp, found out that Yugi's grandfather holds the ultra-rare Blue Eyes White Dragon, he forces him to a duel. Yugi's grandfather lost and his precious dragon was riped in half. Yugi, determined to avenge for his grandfather, dueled Kaiba using his grandfather's deck, which is said to contain his soul. With his friends cheering him on and his unweavered trust in the heart of the cards, Yugi triumphed by combining all five pieces of Exodia to beat Kaiba's three Blue Eyes White Dragons.

After Kaiba's defeat, Pegasus, the creater of Duel Monsters, heard of Yugi and his Millennium Puzzle and he is determined to test Yugi's true dueling power. He send a video tape to Yugi and through it he forced Yugi into a timed shadow duel by putting his friends in danger. Yugi is astonished at the emergence of monsters from his dueling cards, while Pegasus explains that the origin of duel monsters lies at Egypt and the monsters were summoned amongst Kings and Priests for power. The game are also mysteriously connected with the seven Millennium items. Yugi is the holder of the Millennium Puzzle, while Pegasus holds the Millennium Eye, which allows him to see into other people's mind. He uses this to his advantage and toys with Yugi. But Yugi finally found a way to defeat Pegasus at his own games, but time runs out. Pegasus makes sure Yugi attends his new Duelist Kingdom Tournament by capturing Yugi's grandfather's soul using his Eye. With his grandfather's soul at stake, Yugi must go to Duelist Kingdom.

Meanwhile, after Joey recieves a tape from his younger sister Serenity, who is about to lose her eye sight, he is determined to join Yugi at Duelist Kingdom so he can win the prize money for his sister's operation. Tea and Tristan also stole on to the boat so they can be with their friends. Together, Yugi, Joey, and the others are determined to try their best and achieve their goals.

So began the anime show that captured so many hearts and minds of people all ages. This is a show that shows the true power of friendship and the result of never giving up.
