~* My Personal Rants On Yu-Gi-Oh *~

My favorite character: hmmm... this is hard. For my favorite male character, I would have to say either Yugi or Yami. They are both really awesome, brave, kind, considerate, loyal, and cute, if I may say so myself. Yugi is adorable, and Yami is very handsome (plus he has a great voice). I couldn't really decide between the two ^_^; since I like both of them alot. I have established a Yugi n Yami Shrine, visit it HERE. For my favorite female character, I would have to say either Tea or Mai. Mai was definitely my favorite for season 1 and season 2. I like how she loses her selfishness after hanging out with Yugi and the gang and became a great friend. But after season 4, I don't know, she became evil all because Joey supposedly abandoned her? I also didn't like her voice in the dubbed version of Season 4, she sounded so old and monotoned. I like her voice ALOT better in the previous three seasons. Tea is an all around good friend. I really started to like her after she dueled Mai to won starchips for Yugi. It showed she has a great heart. In season 4, I like how she comforted Yami after (spolier warning) Yugi's soul was taken by the Orichalcos. She kept Yami's spirit up during the hardest time.

Favorite couples: A couple that is very obviously shown on the show is Mai/Joey. I think they would make a good couple. I mean, Mai is pretty serious most of the time, and Joey is not. Opposites attract, so I think they would be a pretty good couple, if Joey or Mai ever admit their feelings for each other ^^;. Other couples...lets see, I like Tea with either Yugi or Yami. Yugi definitely likes Tea, and I think Tea likes Yugi too, so they would work out great. They would be a very cute couple together ^_^. Tea/Yami I can see to, especially after the fourth season. I think they would be a good match too, both are strong and great friends to Yugi.

Favorite episode: *sigh* another hard question. After seeing four seasons, I have too many favorites. My recent favorite is the duel between Yugi and Yami, after Yami had defeated Weevil and the train went off track. That eiposode was very touching. It also expresses how much Yugi and Yami care for each other. The twist on Yugi dueling Yami was great too. My other favorites are Face Off (Yugi vs. Kaiba,1st season), Match of the Millennium (Yugi vs. Pegasus, 1st season), Friends till the end (Yugi vs. Joey, 2nd season), Noah's Final Threat (Yugi Vs. Noah, 3rd season), Clash of Coliseum (Yugi vs. Kaiba, 3rd season), and Fate of the Paraoh (Yugi vs. Raphael, 4th season, a hard episode to watch, but touching nonetheless). Like I told you before, too many ^_^;.

Favorite season: This one is not so hard. I actually like the 4th season, despite alot of people say that the 4th season is the worst. I like the 2nd season alot too.

Favorite Monster: Dark Magician Girl, hands down. After all, I am a major Yugi and Yami fan ^^.

Favorite Millennium Item(s): I would really like to have the Millennium Puzzle, for obvious reasons ^_~ (C'mon, Yami lives in there, what more do I need to say?). I would also like to have the Millennium Necklace. The ability to seeing into the future is always a plus.

Least favorite character: Rex and Weevil annoys me a bit with their constant cheating schemes. Weevil's voice also sound a bit...weird. I like all the rest of the characters ^_^.

Least favorite couples: I don't really like Kaiba/Tea, I mean, how would that ever work out? Actually, I can't really picture Tea with anyone except Yugi or Yami. I can't really picture Yugi or Yami with any one other than Tea either. In the fourth Season, Rebecca really likes Yugi, but I am not sure Yugi likes her back. Besides, there is a huge age difference to be considered. As for Kaiba/Serenity, I am really not sure that would be probable. Personally, I think their personalities are way different. But maybe opposite will attract, who knows?

How I got into Yu-Gi-Oh: I actually got into Yu-Gi-Oh quite accidentally. I used to watch Boy Meets World on Disney Channel afterschool. But one day, for some reason, Disney stopped showing Boy Meets World for that afternoon. So being incredibly bored, I decided to flip through some other channels, to see what else is on. As luck shall have it, I tuned into Yu-Gi-Oh! I was immediately hooked to the show. The episode I happen to stumble upon that day was Face Off 2: Yugi vs. Kaiba. That was such a great episode, so I decided to keep watching the show to see what happens next. Ever since then, I fell in love with Yu-Gi-Oh the story and all of its characters. Until today, it is still one of my top favorite show of all times. This just proves that every cloud does have a silver lining. Sometimes a seemly bad misfortune can turn into an unexpected opportunity.
