Sr. Caritas de St. Paul Sevilla, in
celebration of her 50thAnniversary as an
SPC sister.

I left you a message last night that I had safely arrived in Houston - an hour delayed , but back home nevertheless....wow!!! that was some six wonderful, hectic, days! Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City...those Chinese Buffet lunch and that lobster dinner...St Joseph Oratory, the Montreal Museum, Notre Dame Church, the Thousand Islands, those quaint little French shops in old Quebec, Niagara Falls, the ice wine vineyard and that great tasting ice wine made out of frozen grapes harvested in the peak of winter (I've never heard of that), the Chinese rice crackers, the cherries, the Swiss Chalet and your beautiful, exotic-looking Veronica, etc. etc. etc......Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am positive Nina feels the same way - batteries are again recharged!!! Please extend also our appreciation to your sister, Minette and famiy, for opening their brand new home to us. With no one at home but us, we really felt like we were in a five star hotel-penthouse! And to your hubby, Ping - thank you for waking up so early to take us to the tour group meeting place - on a Saturday morning, no less, and all that driving around for us. Thank you for lending us Patsy for six wonderful days! Patsy tells us that this is the first time that she went on vacation without you...let me tell you that you were always on her mind . Oh, and those wonderful, wonderful nutcracker soldiers which Ping handcrafted himself...how can I forget - I brought one home, thanks to you, for wringing it out of Ping's hands - it was hard for him to let go, wasn't it??? Our thanks to Susan Gabriel and hubby, Chito, and you and Ping for that Japanese teppanyaki dinner...we had a great time reminiscing over dinner - how Ping's fraternity brothers all showed up during your honeymoon, and how Chito thought that the Palm trees were swaying due to wind, but turned out there were some peeping toms up in the trees - hahaha!!! And Vi Siazon...nakahabol din and with a sleep-over pa...she hasn't changed - very witty and kalog pa rin! You know, it is really great how we have become even better friends after 37 years...who was it who said: "The best friendship doesn't come when you're together; it comes when you're apart and you realize that despite the distance, the friendship still survives..." Nina is preparing a more detailed travelogue. In the meantime,. I'm sharing some pictures of Patsy and Ping with his wonderful collection of his own handcrafted Nutcracker soldiers, the three of us with some Quebec Indians, and with the Bustamantes.
