Sept 9 - Meeting & Dinner at the World Bank Auditorium, with the SPC sisters, Sr. Mary Magdalen Torres, SPC Phil. Provincial Superior; Sr. Eva Fidela Maamo, President of the Foundation for Our Lady of Peace Mission, Inc.: and Sr. Zeta Rivera, Cebu Perpetual Help Hospital Administrator. They visited the US 6Sept to 3Oct, to solicit help 1. to sep up an out-patient clinic with councelling center in Bauio City, 2. to establish a pastoral center in Quezon City for sexually abused children and women and 3. to build a new Vigil House for the old SPC sisters. This affair was coordinated and arranged by Sol Balda Ilagan and the WB/IMF Filipino Association, and in tandem with the rest of the Paulinian family. ..

Our classmates who attended the meeting, unanimously opted to support the project to build a new Vigil House. Voted to head this undertaking were: Pres.-Sol Balda Ilagan, VP-Nina Galang Reynoso, Sec.-Susan de Jesus Ongoco and Treas-Delia Hernandez Alladin.

Subject: UPDATE from Washington DC From: Sol Balda Ilagan Date: Tue, 24 Sep 2002 17:11:39 -0400 Saturday, Sept. 21 Learned that the Pajama Party went well. The others may be able to fill you up on this one. Kami naman sa Maryland were busy adding inserts to the Souvenir Program. Also we had to prepare the gifts and raffle prizes. Dottie, Susan Gabriel's sister was a big help here. She was also the one who took care of giving out the gifts during the Retro Dance. Cocoi, Sylvia and Millie arrived at home in time for lunch. They were driven by Dulce. Then Dulce, myself, Millie and Susan looked for green vases for the yellow flowers to put in the tables tonight. Really, the time just went by so fast. Pagdating namin sa bahay, bihis na kaagad for the Retro Party as we needed to be there by 5:30 p.m. to set up the place. Nakakahiya nga at ang mga PIGGs ay nagsitulong when they should have been our guests. Millie and Sylvia helped in the registration. Mary Ann Chaney came with white carnations tied with black & white checks (just like our uniforms) to be given to everyone including all guests. Ang gaganda naman ng mga gifts ninyo - thank you so much for remembering. Tinutukso nila si Eca dahil ang daming toothbrushes ang dinala (sabi ni Lahla one daw for every tooth, hehehe). Each of us had a loot bag which contained the SP, and your gifts plus the black bag. For the rest that happened, I leave it to the others to tell you. To be continued.

Subject: UPDATE from Washington DC From: Sol Balda Ilagan Date: Wed, 25 Sep 2002 16:29:10 -0400 Sunday, Sept. 22 Ang dalawa ni Cocoi and Sylvia, dumating na ng 3 a.m. from the Embassy Suiteshotel - hinatid ni Dulce. Apparently, they were consoling (_), she was really feeling bad and crying a lot. I truly feel for her. Went to bed at 3:30 a.m. and woke up at 6:00 a.m. to cook b-fast dahil Susan et al will be leaving early for Canada - at least a 10 hour drive. Sina Cocoi and Sylvia naman will be fetched by Dulce to go to Hilton for their Chesapeake trip (Tess' Jim invited them for crabs and corn). Kasama na rin dito sina Lena, Iris, Charito, Eca and Lahla and Tess. With Nina naman were James, Jay Jay, Susan, Mildred and Carme. Elvie decided to sleep sa Embassy and went to my house after checking out. After their Chesapeake they came to the house for a cookout dinner. And after dinner we watched the Retro video - ang sasaya nanaman namin. Hope you enjoyed reading it. 	From: Beth Pineda Concepcion Date: Tue, 24 Sep 2002 Subject: Reunion in DC Part I Dear Goldies!!!!! Gosh! what can I say!! it was NON STOP FUN since last Thursday (9/19/02) when I saw most of our classmates who attended DINNER at Nina Galang's residence. I came in late because of traffic and traveled 2 1/2 hrs. from Baltimore airport to Nina';s home in Virginia. Nabago ang itinerary ko kasi (long story) but it was all worth it! he he he he. Dolly Merchan could not recall who Lucy Ilao was.. and they gave away her first name, LUCY and for her last name, they pointed to the ceiling fan.. sabi ni Dolly.. aaaahhhh LuCY PAMAYPAY!!! wow sakit ng tiyan namin sa katatawa.. I greeted everyone else and since I scanned their photos, I knew everyone. Yun ang akala koh!! There was this tall lady (beautiful) and I asked myself, how come I do not recognize this one. Process of elimination dapat, kasama ni Lucy Ilao was LILIA BALMACEDA... wow na wow siya na nga!!! ngeeek pahiya ako and was embarassed .. danda danda talaga ni Lilia. But according to Lucy Ilao.. ISA LANG SI LILIA SA MAGAGANDANG CLASSMATE because she is also included in the many classmates who were beautiful.. ha ha ha ha sirang sira ang ulo ni Lucy. I could not believe it. Then by midnight everyone went to their respective hotels but Susan, Manots, Carme and myself were waiting for Mildred Dominguez to arrive from CA. She was in Houston when her flight was delayed and finally arrived DC around 1:30AM. Nina drove us to our hotel. By the time we settled down and hit the sack it was 3:30 AM. Susan and I woke up early to make sure we were ready by 8:30AM. Linda Arambulo was in the same hotel where we stayed and I rode with her to join Delia in one of the tours in downtown DC. Yvonne Rivilla was there with Irene Dumual and as usual Yvonne was all made up like a typical socialite lady.. ha ha ha ha but she is more KALOG now unlike when we were in HS she was so formal. That whole day of Friday.. I enjoyed our Washington DC tour at the Arlington Cemetery, a glimpse of the White House and visits to 3 museums. It was a long walk with Delia, Marcia and her sister, Yvonne, Irene and myself. We all went back to Delia's place and waited for Delia's husband coming from his office. There was not enough time to go back to our hotel and freshen up or take a shower and retouch our make-up for the Friday evening dinner with the visiting sisters of St. Paul at Worldbank auditorium. Hayun mga amoy tuta kami except for Yvonne who took her shower and changed her attire. ha ha ha ha . She was staying at Delia's home kaya both she and Irene were able to freshen up ha ha ha ha. binulunga ko sina Marcia and Linda to put some powder and lipstick and to do some eye makeup because we all might look like MAIDS of Yvonne.. ha ha ha .. true enough when Yvonne came down she was all dressed up and brushed up her hair for the event.. ha ha ha another gikgikan from all of us. Well, because the husband of Delia came home late, na late na din kami sa Worldbank. But the presentation was still going on when we arrived at around 8:00PM. Again there was a lot of picture taking with the SPC sisters at the World Bank auditorium. After that, most of us proceeded to our hotel where we had our Pajama party. Here we had another blast of TAWANAN, GIKGIKAN and recalling many many funny moments of our highschool life. Siempre "bangka" si Lucy Ilao and Lahla Pascual. Ratsada ang dalawa NON-STOP. Nina was expecting this to be a REYNA NA VICKS episode eh naging SUPER LAUGH IN. We were all GUMUGULONG sa katatawa!! no kidding and no exageration. Peksman!!! Then it was time to go, Millie, Lahla, Sylvia,Cocoi and Elvie stayed at the hotel kasi walang sasakyan to go back to Maryland at Sol Balda's home. Haayy ya yayay!!! Tatlo kami sa kama, on my left was Elvie and in my right was Lahla. Naku pooooh.. ina na awa talaga!! di ako nakatulog . ��.and did not get enough sleep for the following day.. tutuloy as it is time to leave the office... ITUTULOY and susunod na kabanata... beth
