I'm absolutely thrilled for all of you. I believe one can't have too many reunions, because every get-together with kindred spirits is a blessing. Each is an occasion that warms one's heart for days and weeks. I know that everytime I come home from a reunion with my Paulinian chums, I tell myself, "I've just been with some of the nicest folks who people my world." Yes, sometimes, there are misunderstandings and brickbats but they are few and far between and don't really matter much in the greater scheme of things. I hope and pray that most of the USGGs will attend. Kudos to you for organizing this blessed weekend. Nancy

		From: Nancy Guevarra Subject: Ruby Jubillee Reunion Dearest Classmates, How time flies! It's a clich� but true that the days, months and years do pass by so swiftly that before we realize it, it's been, wow, 40 years since our high school graduation. Has it really been that long? Except for a few body aches and a few more pounds, don't we all feel ( and look) as we did in high school? We are set to mark our 40th homecoming on January 30, 2005. And this time we are coming home to St Paul University Manila. Our alma mater has achieved full university status. Traditionally, St.Paul's Alumni Homecoming is celebrated on the last Sunday of January. However, since this will be our Ruby Jubilee, we want it to be a week-long celebration not just a one-day affair. We'll have more time reminisce about old times, share our life's ups and downs and bond in a special way with our best buddies, our classmates of St. Paul Batch 65. Mark the dates on your calendar, January 22 to 30, 2005. The major activities we plan for our Ruby Jubilee Week-long Reunion include the following: HOLY RETREAT � Saturday to Monday, January 22 � 24, 2005 A Marian Pilgrimage to Carmel, Lipa & 1-day Retreat at Bishop Obviar�s Shrine in Tayabas, Quezon, with Rev. Fr. Rene Lopez. CLASS VISIT TO THE ARCHBISHOP - January 27, 2005 Agnes Torres has arranged for our class to visit Archbishop Dency Rosales at his residence at 10AM. GRAND DINNER- Friday, January 28, 2005 A formal, dressed up affair at Dusit Nikko Hotel in Makati City. We will invite our former teachers. We can bring along members of our families. We'll have a delicious buffet dinner, a band and lots of singing and dancing. We encourage everyone to perform a song or dance, individually or by group, at least once during the night. Katuwaan lang! After our program, we will have ballroom dancing till the wee hours. We plan to hire a dozen or more DIs for the evening. ALUMNI HOMECOMING- Sunday, January 30, 2005 We have been requested to do a chacha number by the HS80, the silver jubilarians who are main host of the 2005 alumni homecoming. We hope a good number of us will join in the chacha performance (being coordinated by Lahla Pascual LLaforteza) since this is the first time our class will be performing at a homecoming. SOUVENIR BOOK This will be a timeless, priceless keepsake that will contain our recent solo and family photos and our personal accounts of our in- between years from 1965 to the present. Some girls have told me that they hesitate to give a write-up because they think their list of credentials would pale in comparison to others. Dearest friends, we are not asking for your resumes But won't it be nice if we could share our experiences and the insights and lessons that life has taught us? Remember when we were teens, how we loved writing in each other's slum book! Well, please consider our ruby souvenir book as our grownup version of theslum book. There is a set of guideline questions which will be distributed soon by Beth Pineda Concepcion by email and snail mail. SPORTS FEST Are you game for a friendly competition of golf or badminton or tennis? We have been offered the use of the exclusive and beautiful Club Malarayat Golf and Country Club in Lipa, Batangas. Membership requirements will be waived and green and court fees will be discounted. As soon as we know who the participants are, we can all agree on the date of the sports fest. Although not all of us are athletes but we will be there to cheer the players and make a side trip to Mt. Carmel Lipa. This is all for now: more info will be posted soon on committee assignments, costs etc. But as early as today, it is important to mark your calendar and reserve the week of January 22 to 30 for our ruby jubilee reunion. Let's set that special week for each other. FOR QUESTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS If you have any questions and suggestions, please feel free to let us know. This is easy enough to do in Manila. For girls in the USA, Canada and elsewhere in the world, Beth Pineda Concepcion, Lynn Umali-Ledesma (west coast), Agnes Torres-Condez (mid-west) and Adelina Noveno (east coast) have generously and kindly agreed to be the contact persons and coordinators. Looking forward to seeing you all at our Ruby Jubilee Reunion, Nancy
