Gray Bomb (gueri bomu):
Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: Makes the ground underneath the target explode, causing damage with the resultant shockwave. Although this spell can only be cast on uneven ground, it's relatively easy to control.

Gray Buster (gurei basutaa):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: An interesting spell that targets an area, and then lowers the temperature to the point when everything withing the range freezes. Since the moisture in the air will freeze as well, the resultant "diamond dust effect" is very beautiful. Weaker versions of Gray Buster are used as air conditioning. This weakened version is taught in the first lesson of the Mage Guild.

Gu Ru Diva (gu ru diiva):
Category: Black - Summon
Description: The caster draws circles of light on the ground, and a lesser demon is summoned in each circle.

Hated By Opposite Sex [A.K.A. Girl-Repelling Spell]
Category: Other
Description: When cast, anytime the target gets near someone of the opposite gender, that person will feel replused by the target's mere presence. This spell is a good example of a curse, and the target won't even notice that it's been cast on him/her. Although this is actually a spell that repels the opposite sex, Lina called this a powerful "Girl-Repelling Spell" in the dubbed version.
Hell Blast (heru burasuto):
Category: Black - Offensive
Description: When cast, a dark spear is created. When used, the target's life energy will be destroyed, meaning instant death. This spell also works on the undead, since they too have dark powers about them to retain their "life". Hell Blast destroys all such energies, so they will "die" as well. Obviously, this spell is still able to be defended against by barriers, etc. Otherwise, the world would have been thrown into chaos long ago!

Holy Bless (hoorii buresu):
Category: White Magic
Description: A strong exorcism spell. It will dispel all low-level undead creatures to their rightful place. Amazingly, it has the range of a small city, and won't harm living beings at all. However, this spell uses up enormous amounts of magical energy, so, at most, it can only be cast once a day.

Howl Freeze (harusu furiizu):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: Creates a small blizzard. This spell isn't lethal, but it can greatly slow down the target by freezing him/her. This spell can also be used to blind the enemy or hide. It's difficult to dodge Howl Freeze.

Illusion (iryuujon):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: The caster places an image of his/her choice directly into the target's mind, overlapping all other thoughts. While this spell is cast, the caster must retain tight concentration, so no other spells can be cast. Illusion will cause a mental battle in this way, but since only the caster and the target can see the image, onlookers will find the scene laughable.
Lah Freeze (raa furiizu):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: Ice shoots from the caster's hand and envelopes the target in ice. A careless caster can get his/her own hand frozen as well.

Levitation (rebiteishon):
Category: Shamanism - Wind
Description: When used, the caster enables him/herself to fly. Although movement won't be swift, a lot of weight can be carried. It's also possible to cast weaker spells while using Levitation. This spell is also easy to control, and instant Levitation is available to more skilled mages.
Meteor Fall (meteo fooru):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: A powerful spell indeed! An asteroid is pulled out of space with Meteor Fall, with the power to crush a small city completely! The caster, however, must be aware of atmospheric friction, or the asteroid could be reduced to practically nothing when it reaches Earth. Only a handful out of all mages know this "ultimate spell".

Mono Volt (mono voruto):
Category: Shamanism - Wind
Description: An elementary lightning spell. This isn't a lethal spell, but if you impale the target with a sword or some other sharp object to be used as a conductor, its effect may increase to the point of death.
Incantation: Wind and crimson flame. Come to my hands and be the lightning; And release the power of the judgement! Mono Volt!

Mos Varim (mosu varimu):
Category: White Magic
Description: Several glittering white orbs are sent out. Whatever flame these orbs touch, they put out, including magical fire and normal fire. It also works on offensive fire shamanism magic. Since these orbs don't distinguish between a comrade's and an enemy's spells, Mos Varim might cause both sides to be weakened in battle. A variation of Ext Ball.

Necro Vuud (nekuro vuudo):
Category: Black - Summoning
Description: A rather interesting summoning spell. When cast, a weak spirit or ghost will possess a corpse, creating a zombie or walking skeleton. This creature can only understand simple orders, usually, so the caster must give simple commands such as "attack" or "sleep". If the caster is skilled, however, the undead creature can talk and even tell jokes.

Printing Patterns (monyou kokuin):

: The caster channels his/her magical energy to an item by drawing on it, and, depending on the object, can alter it somehow. For example, you can make a dagger sharper or duller in this way. If the patterns are drawn with the caster's blood, the choices become much more varied and powerful.
Ragna Blade (raguna bureedo) [Also Known As Laguna Blade]:

n: An original spell of Lina's created from information from a Claire Bible manuscript. This spell calls upon power from the Lord of Nightmares, the mother of all things, and is extremely powerful. A dark void is formed between the caster's hands, and formed into the shape of a sword, blazing with chaotic energy. This spell only lasts for a short time because of all the energy it consumes.
Incantation: Sword of cold and darkness, Free yourself from the heaven's bond... Become one with my power, One with my body, And let us walk the path of destruction together! Power that can smash even the souls of the gods! Ragna Blade!

Ragna Blast (raguna barusuto) [Also Known As Laguna Blast]:
Category: Black - Offensive
Description: A spell which calls power from Hellmaster Phibrizzo, one of the five Dark Lords that serve directly under Shabranigdo. A pillar of darkness surrounded by an upside-down pentagram appears when it's cast, and dark energy will shoot the target from the pillar. Since Phibrizzo is dead, this spell is no longer castable.

Raywing (reiuingu):
Category: Shamanism - Air/Wind
Description: Gives the caster the ability to fly. It might be considered a highly amplified version of Levitation. A shield of wind lifts the caster into the air once Raywing is cast. Raywing's shield can hold several people, but several rules apply. If you fly lower and only cast Raywing on yourself, that would be the fastest way to travel. The opposite would make going fast difficult. Unlike Levitation, Raywing requires a lot of concentration, and no other spells can be cast while in use. However, this spell also functions as a high-level barrier, defending from all but the highest-level spells. You can also use this spell to go underwater. To end the spell, the caster must simply break concentration.
Raza Clover (raza kurouva):

Description
: Many grains of light fly toward the target, each one causing a bit of damage. This makes Raza Clover seem like a blizzard of pain, and harms the target both physically and spiritually. Raza Clover is exceptionally difficult to dodge.

Recovery (rikabarii):
Category: White Magic
Description: A healing spell that calls upon the target's ability to regenerate. Since the energy comes from the target, a severely wounded person might die of exhaustion when Recovery is cast. Cast against a sick person, the bacteria and virii's ability to regenerate will increase, worsening the condition. Recovery is best cast on a tired or slightly wounded comrade.

Rune Breaker (ruun bureikaa):
Category: White Magic
Description: The caster must make or draw a pentagram before using this spell. Rune Breaker weakens any spells within the area. This spell depends not on the skill of the caster (as is usual), but rather on the size of the pentagram. The larger the pentagram, the weaker spells, curses, and other magical enchantments become.
Rune Flare (ruun furea):
Category: Shamanism - Fire
Description: Draws power directly from the fire spirit, and creates a flaming spear, which then hits the target. Although this spell is weaker than Burst Flare, it's the strongest single-target affecting fire shamanism spell. This spell is actually pure energy, so there's no chance of anything catching fire.

Scatter-Bleed (sukattaa buriddo):
Category: Shamanism - Air
Description: Many spheres of electricity attack the target. However, this spell isn't very strong, and not much damage is caused. Scatter-Bleed is better used as a diversion.

Sea Blast (shiiburasuto):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: A large wave appears on the surface of the water when cast, which has the power to sink a medium-size ship. Two disadvantages are noted, however. The first is that things underwater won't be affected at all. The second is that the caster must have his/her hand on the surface of the water in order to cast it.

Description: A spell which strengthens the target, such as ropes or walls.

n: In the novels, Lina used this series of spells to defeat the third resurrected piece of Shabranigdo. Crushing the Demon Blood Talismans with her teeth, she called forth the power of Dark Star, Chaotic Blue, and Death Fog by chanting spells of this format: "The dark lord of another universe, [name of Dark Lord]; In exchange for thy Demon Blood, show thy power before me!" In this way, the 3 other Dark Lords' power can be called forth using this technique.

Description: An amplified version of Flare Arrow. A tremendous explosion is achieved upon contact with the target, causing damage. Useful against opponents as well as to break walls, etc. However, Val Flare can easily make things catch on fire.

Descriptio
n: Putting a hand on a surface such as the floor or wall, the caster makes many strings of ice spread across the walls, floor, and ceiling. Anyone who touches a string is then surrounded by many more strings, turning him/her into a statue of ice. One of the few large-area spells that can be cast in cramped space.

Vice Freeze (vaisu furiizu):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: The opposite of Burst Flare. A ball of ice is fired into an area, which then explodes, damaging everything nearby and coating the area with ice. This is the strongest water shamanism spell.

Visfarank (visufaranku):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: Channels magical energy into the caster's fists. This spell can damage Mozaku, and the caster can even deflect spells about the level of Flare Lance with his/her fists after casting. Caution must be exercised, though, since the magical energy weakens with each blow.
Vlave Howl (vureibu hauru):
Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: Turns an area in the line of sight of the caster into a pool of magma. The area affected is huge, so the placing of Vlave Howl must be careful. Those behind the caster (since they're not in his/her line of sight), are definitely safe.
Incantation: Infinite earth, mother who nurtures all life, let thy power gather in my hand! Vlave Howl!
Void (voido):
Category: Other
Description: Enables the caster to move through space like Mozaku. However, humans don't have sufficient skill to use this spell. S/he must still somehow unite with a Mozaku in a sort of partnership in order to have access to have this spell.
Void Breath (voido buresu):
Category: Black - Offensive
Description: Can only be used once Gu Ru Dooga is used. Orders the Dimos Dragon that was summoned to attack using its breath.

Description: A pentagram is created that summons a garm, a ferocious fire-breathing dog about the size of a calf!

Description: A blast of fire is shot at the target when cast, calling upon the power of the Fire Dragon King.

Vu Raiwar (vu reiwaa) [Also Known As Stone Ghost]:
Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: Naga's original spell. Calls upon the power of Bephimos, the earth spirit, a stone dragon is created. Then, a low-level spirit or ghost will possess the dragon, turning it into a living golem. However, the dragon's form is always imperfect, and the caster can't control it.

Gu Ru Dooga (gu ru dyuuga):
Category: Black - Summon
Description: Naga's original spell. Summons a Dimos Dragon, a rare species that is said only to dwell in the Kataart Mountains. Only high level black magic and spirit shamanism magic can damage it. Unfortunately, like Gai Ra Dooga, the dragon can't always be controlled.

Holy Resist (hoorii rezasuto):
Category: White Magic
Description: Creates a barrier against black magic and some spirit shamanim spells.
Icicle Lance (aishikuru ransu):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: The opposite of Flare Lance. This spell can freeze targets more easily than Ice Arrow, and can be used in more cramped areas since it obviously won't spread fire.

Interference With Space (kuukan kanshou):
Category: Zenafa Armor
Description: The Zenafa armor will spread 6 wings and interfere with an area effected by magic, causing the area's effect to wear off or to change.

Kyukyum Spin (kyukyumu supin) [Also Known As Sea Cucumber Spin]:
Category: Black - Summoning
Description: Naga's original spell. When cast, sea cucumbers are summoned. This spell's usefulness is limited to confusing your opponent and getting a source of food.

Laphas Seed (rafasu shiido):
Category: White Magic
Description: Magical ropes ensnare the target, and prevent him/her from moving. The effects last for a little under an hour. Perfect for capturing someone.

Lighting (raithinu):
Category: White Magic
Description: Causes an orb of light to appear which lights up the room. This is one of the easiest spells to learn. The caster can indicate how long and how bright the light will be. The brighter the light, the shorter Lighting can last. Therefore, anything from a bright flash to blind the opponent to a dim light lasting all night can be used.
Incantation: Light which burns beyond crimson flame, Let thy power gather in my hand! Lighting!

Lock (rokku):
Category: White Magic
Description: Used to magically lock doors, even those without keyholes. However, it's still possible to break down the door instead of opening with the doorknob, just like a normal locked door. This is a forbidden spell, since criminals could use it to their advantage.
Ly Brim (raiburimu):
Category: Shamanism - Water
Description: A blast of ice is shot from the palm of the caster. A shorter-ranged yet far more powerful version of Icicle Lance. This spell can totally encase the target in ice.

Mana Conversion (mana kanbaajon):
Category: Zenafa Armor
Description: The caster concentrates energy to a point on the Zenafa Armor, creating an extrusion that can function as a weapon. This weapon can be used to attack the enemy or to defend against spells.

Mega Brand (mega burando):
Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: An amplified version of Dill Brand. It effects a larger area, and may even cause an explosion of flames in addition to the ground exploding.

Description: Naga's original spell. Creates a more powerful golem than the normal Vu Vraimer. Rocks nearby gather together to create the golem. As with most of Naga's spells, control of the golem will be a problem.

Description: A red flame envelopes the target when this spell is cast, damaging it. This spell works on Mozaku as well. I'm unsure as to what category Megiddo Arc belongs to.

Megiddo Flare (megido furea):
Category: White Magic
Description: When cast against humans, their evil ambitions are suddenly abandoned. When cast against the undead, they are damaged. When cast against ghosts and restless spirits, they are purified and can continue to the next life. Basically, this is a multi-functional exorcism spell.
Incantation: You who are not of this world, Pitiful twisted creatures; By the light of the purity I possess, I bid thee be gone to the nexus of our two worlds! Megiddo Flare!

Metamorphose (metamorufooze):
Category: Other
Description: Dragons, werewolves, and specific other creatures cast this spell to morph into a human shape.
Probing (tansa):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: Can be used to locate a spell dispelling a certian magical energy. If the caster is unaware as to what the item's magical energy pattern is, this spell can't locate it.
Protect (purotekuto):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: Counters the Probing spell. It will prevent the detection of objects from the Astral Plane. Once again, the magical energy pattern of an object must be known in order to protect it.
Protection Barrier (boogyo kekkai):
Category: White Magic
Description: A barrier is created using White Magic, and an extremely powerful one at that. A spherical barrier is produced, protecting the caster from all sides, along with any allies nearby. This spell is powerful enough to defend against Blast Bomb! Requires an enormous amount of magical energy.

Description
: Magically amplifies the voice of the caster, making it easy to draw a crowd's attention during an emergency or a public event.
Puppet (kugutsu):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: Anything with a soul can be controlled like a puppet with this spell. Most often, only simple commands can be issued once this spell is cast. However, if an item like a control ruby is also placed on the target, the caster can make him/her do whatever s/he wants.
Ra Tilt (ra thiruto):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: An ultra-powerful spell. The target is attacked from the Astral Plane and enveloped in a blue-white flame. Lower-level Mozaku won't stand a chance against an attack from Ra Tilt, which is roughly eqivalent to the power of the Dragon Slave. Some say that Ra Tilt is the most powerful shamanism spell, but Blast Bomb is probably still the most powerful.
Incantation: Everlasting flame of blue. Let the power hidden in my soul be called forth here from the infinite! Ra Tilt!
Ragna Drive (raguna doraibu) [Also Known As Laguna Drive]:
Category: Black - Summoning
Description: A spell which calls power from Hellmaster Phibrizzo, one of the five Dark Lords that serve directly under Shabranigdo. An extremely well-made zombie is summoned when Ragna Drive can cast, capable of not only following complicated orders, but can also think for itself. This zombie can talk, think, reason, and move as naturally as a living person. Since Phibrizzo is dead, this spell is no longer castable.

Raugnuto Rushava (raugunuto rushavuna):

Descriptio
n: A truly horrible curse that only mozaku can cast. The target is granted immortality, and then turned into a huge chunk of rotting flesh. The target will go through eternal torment as snakes rise from the flesh that it has become and eat it, only to cause complete regeneration for the process to repeat again. The only way to break this spell is to utterly destroy the mozaku that had cast it.
Ray Freeze (rei furiizu):

Descriptio
n: This spell is kind of like an amplified version of Laphas Seed, making targets unable to move. Unlike Laphas Seed however, multiple targets can be affected at one time, and there's no time limit to how long Ray Freeze can last. Only a counterspell can free affected targets.
Incantation: anaku rakusu ozuru namu izuru nakusu orumu Ray Freeze!
Note: Divine Magic can only be cast by the Golden Dragons.
Resurrection (rizarekushon):
Category: White Magic
Description: A highly-effective healing spell. Unlike Recovery, the target has no chance of dying from exhaustion, since the energy is drawn from nearby life-forms. However, the incantation is rather long, so it must be said quickly if Ressurection is to be used in time on a severely wounded target.

Ruby Eye Blade (rubii ai bureedo):

Descriptio
n: A spell which calls upon Shabranigdo himself, the ruler of all the mozaku in Lina's world. Channels the power of the Dark Lord into a sword with a crimson blade. Ruby Eye Blade has more power than the Sword of Light.

Roller Road (rozaazarodo):
Category: Divine
Description: Milgazia's original spell. With the help of the earth and wind spirits, the caster and the earth below him/her is moved at high speeds. Useful for transporting youself and your comrades.
Rune Stride (ruun sutoraido):

Description: Shoots a lance of light that can harm Mozaku. It's unclear what category Rune Stride belongs to.

Sealed (shiirudo):
Category: Zenafa Armor
Description: The opposite of Dissealed. This spell protect the wearer of the Zenafa armor from offensive spirit shamanism spells, but will greatly handicap the wearer in terms of spell-casting. This spell can be used in an unexpected way, however. You may order your armor to cover the enemy, and then cast Sealed. This way, the enemy's magic will become limited.

Shadow Snap (shadou sunappu):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: Originally created for the purpose of interrogation. A sharp object such as a knife must be thrown into the target's shadow when Shadow Snap is cast. This will prevent the target from moving, although s/he can still talk and cast spells. By using spells such as Lighting, the target's shadow will temporarily disappear, countering this spell.

Shadow Web (shadou ueb):
Category: Shamanism - Spirit
Description: An interesting variation of Shadow Snap. The caster's own shadow will reach out like tentacles, each tentacle piercing a target's shadow, preventing multiple targets from moving. Like Shadow Snap, anything that temporarily erases the target's shadow will negate the effects of the Shadow Web.

Sleeping (suriipingu):
Category: White Magic
Description: Causes the target(s) within a certain area to fall asleep. Even if dragons roar or banshees scream, nothing can awaken the target until about half a day passes or a counterspell is used. It's forbidden to teach this spell since it could lead to criminal activity. The caster must figure out how to cast Sleeping on his/her own.

Descriptio
n: A barrier that protects against more fire, air, water, and earth shamanism spells. If you enchant armor with this spell, the effects will be even stronger. However, it only lasts a small amount of time. You need a highly expensive magic potion to cast Valmaceid, though.

Descriptio
n: A small magic barrier is created which is effective against nearly all types of magic. Vas Grood can be cast quickly, so it's a useful defensive spell.

Description: A stronger version of Val Flare. Both the strength and the range are increased in Vice Flare, making it even more dangerous to cast in a cramped area. However, this is quite a good offensive spell.

Visgarthagaia (viigassugaia):
Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: After placing his/her hand on the ground, the caster can send a pulse through the ground that causes a small earthquake with the power to collapse a building. This spell isn't used on living targets directly, but can still be lethal if used appropriately.

Description: An illusion much like a hologram of the spell caster is projected over far distances to enable easy communication. A special area or a receiving mage is needed to complete the spell, however. A very useful spell, Vision is primarily used to communicate between Mage Guilds.

Category: Shamanism - Earth
Description: A rock golem is created from stones and rocks lying nearby. It can obey commands, but only simple ones.

Vun Ga Ruim (vun ga riumu):
Category: Black - Summoning
Description: A spell which summons low-level black beasts from the Astral Plane that attach themselves to the target and start draining away mental energy. They can be counteracted by using spirit shamanism magic, black magic, and certain white magic.

Wind Brid (windo briddo):
Category: Shamanism - Wind
Description: Creates many small shockwaves of air to attack the target. Think of it as the wind version of Flare Arrow and Ice Arrow. When a shockwave hits a human, s/he will most likely faint. Although the shockwaves are weaker than Flare Arrow or Ice Arrow, they're invisible, and mostly quiet, making them very difficult to dodge.

Windy Shield (windii shiirudo):
Category: Shamanism - Wind
Description: A spherical sphield of air that protects the caster and his/her comrades if they are standing close by. Most of the shields automatically cast in the Slayers anime series is actually this spell! If several mages cast this spell at once, Windy Shield is reinforced to be even stronger. It's smarter to fly up into the air when casting this barrier, since you'll be vulnerable to attacks from below if you're on the ground. Since this spell requires a lot of concentration, the caster can't cast other spells while Windy Shield is in effect.

Zelas Brid (zerau buriido):
Category: Black - Offensive
Description: A thin band of light appears that the caster can will in any direction to attack the target. This spell is more powerful, and consequently needs more power, than Dynast Brass. The basic composition is similar to that of Balus Rod.

Zelas Phalanx (zerau farankusu):
Category: Divine
Description: It's just a coincidence that this spell uses Zelas's name. Bands of light attack the target(s) that the caster designates. Useful for a Golden Dragon when fighting several Mozaku.
Note: Divine Magic can only be cast by the Golden Dragons.
Zelas Gort (zerau gooto) [Also Known As Summon Jellyfish]:
Category: Black - Summoning
Description: A spell used to summon jellyfish. If you're drowning in the ocean, you can use Zelas Gort to have a swarm of jellyfish guide you safely back to shore. However, you don't need to be near the ocean to cast this spell. Any water used will do. Additionally, this can be used as a source of food, and a summoned jellyfish can hold an opponent in its tentacles while you chant another spell to finish him/her.

Zenafslade (zenafusureido):
Category: Zenafa Armor
Description: A part of the Zenafa Armor is swung like a sword, causing a shockwave of energy to burst through the body of the target. This spell also works on Mozaku.
