Children's Ministries
The children of Kok-noi Ban Klang and the surrounding villages were the primary beneficiaries of this project. Not only will they have clean, pure water to drink in the future, but we hope the team was able to teach them about God's love. We were amazed by the lack of toys and the high degree of responsibility placed on these young children. Their creativity was astounding, and once they warmed up to us Westerners, you couldn't keep them away.
Young babies were cared for by toddlers. This girl has a real doll to play with. Girls marry and have children in their mid-teens.
During our evening devotionals, the children loved to hear Nathan on the guitar and our singing.
The skits taught the children some valuable stories from the Bible. Loaves and fishes, the Good Samaritan, and Jesus walking on the water were received with critical review. We got to play such varied parts as shepherds, sheep, donkeys, paraplegics, and disciples.
We were amazed at the artistic creativity of the children. Their tambourines and worship bracelets were awesome.
Donna and Mike share the Good Word with a very attentive crowd.
The children received a lesson each day in their native language. We would act out the stories for them, often with comical results.
The voices of the children as they sang together moved everyone. Very, very impressive.
