Project - Complete

The final day was very fast paced. We finished decorating the main water tank in the morning and had to catch the boats by noon. It was a bittersweet farewell, knowing we were just hours from a hot shower, cool air conditioning and McDonald's, but knowing we would probably never see the villagers again. Our prayers will always be with the good people of Kok-noi Ban Klang and that the water will nourish them and provide years of health and prosperity.

The team gathered in front of the tank for one last time.

This is the commemorative sign placed next to the main tank. The dates in Thai include the year 2543, or the Buddhist year, even though the village is Christian.

Prayers of thanksgiving were offered by Mike, Donna and Tierpop for a job well done.

The water flowed and the children rejoiced.

The children made necklaces of fragrant fresh flowers to show their appreciation.

The ITDP staff has installed more than 120 water systems in Thailand.

We last touched the tank on our hand prints.

The villagers sent us off with a huge thank you.
