Brad Moses and Jackson continue to tear up the league. Both started the sason 1-2, evened out at 3-3 and then won five straight. They meet again in week 14 with possibily a division title at stake.

Brad Moses 55 Cantrell 28
Grandma was a no show for Thanksgiving. In fact, we've not seen Grandma Moses in a long long time. Brad Moses has an easy time with Cantrell. All this despite a 0 point day from Randy Moss, who B-Mo acquired from Hank three weeks ago. Hank's Ricky Williams scored, and there for won the head to head battle of the Randy/Ricky trade, but lost the war. B-Mo had just too much including Mike Anderson, the thrown-in in the Moss deal that happend to be the only healthy Denver back. And speaking of "unhealthy backs", Garrison Hearst scored twice. His first rushing TDs since 1998. New Orleans floundered in New England, but still managed 8. David Boston did the same. I'm trying to be clever and tie BOSTON and NEW ENGLAND...you get my point. You see, I'm old enough to remember the Boston Patriots.

Hank fell woefully short in his attempt to sweep the Moses Brothers. Jake the Snake did not toss four TDs this week and to add insult to injury, tossed his lone TD to B-Mo's guy. It is also interesting to point out that Keyshawn Johnson has yet to score a TD this year. Stacey Mack scored...twice, but he was on Hank's bench.

Jackson 59 Jones/Klingman 28

Red-hot Jackson continued his winning ways, reeling off his fifth straight over punchless JK. He got started early with 16 turkey day points from Jason Elam. SF QBs tossed for two scores, one to Terrell Owens. Zack Crockett also scored, and Jimmy Smith - just before the law came down. Smith might face NFL action after testing positive for cocaine following a DWI traffic stop.

JK lost its second straight - failing to score out of the 20s for the second straight week. It was also the second straight loss to a league icon: Best in week 10, Jackson in week 11. after getting only one TD last week, they managed two this week: An early TD from Peyton Manning and the Shannon Sharpe dragging his feet late in the day on Sunday.

However, thanks to R-Mo's loss, JK has clinched their division It's their first divsion title since 1988. True to recent JK form, they are backing into the playoffs. With three games left, there's plenty more room to back up.

Yes, Bud is still in the league and he's tied for second in the Central. It was first first 50 point game this season after scoring 8 last year. Lots of pent up TDs, two each from Antowain Smith, Dominic Rhodes and Eric Moulds. Bud could be a factor in the division if R-Mo continues to lose. Right now R-MO has a tie breaker over Bud, but they meet this week.

How the mighty have fallen, since scoring 73 in a win over then undefeated JK four weeks ago, DMC has yet to score over 40 and have lost three straight. Lamar Smith did score this week and is looking better. Marvin Harrison and goalline vulture Tony Richardson also hit pay dirt. DMC is hanging in the West division race by a thread.. and the "Cisco Championship" belongs to Bud.

Brown 55 Rick Moses 22

Nander Brown, winner of four straight, has a three game lead on Best with three to play. The champagne should be cold by now. Best does have a tiebreaker from a week 3 win. Oakland QBs three scores, two to Tim Brown. Game over. Troy Brown also scored to keep it all in the Brown family.

The loss by Rick Moses put him in "dire straits" in the Central. JK has clinched and Bud has climbed up to tie for second. However R-Mo has a lot of point in the bank, so week 15 is unlikely to be "Money for Nothing". Only Shaun Alexander managed to score this week.

Ricker 49 Outlaw 38

Ricker has a pulse. A Monday night comeback, but it wasn't the Rams that did it for him, Kurt Warner only managed one score. It was Mike Alstott and Warrick Dunn combining for 21 points. A big thank you to Brad Moses for supplying the Buc Duo. Kevin Johnson was the other TD on Sunday. Ricker and Cantrell are tired for thrid in the division, a game back of Best for second.

Once again two players had all the scoring for Outlaw. This week it was Miami QBs and Ahman Green. Still, playoff chances look dim given the strength of the other teams in this division.

Cousins 37 Best 12

A great showing by Cousins to notch his third win. Tennessee QBs scored 19 and 9 points belonged to Kevin Dyson. Curtis Conway also scored. Depite the horrible start, Cousin is still a game behind R-Mo and Bud for second place in Central.

Best had a horrible out. No TDs scored. Daunte Culpepper was shutout for the first time as a starter. Cris Carter failed to catch a TD in a home game for the first time in 11 games. The 12 points is the league's season low. It almost was a single digit score if Best had not made a Sunday lineup change to get three more bonus points in lineup.

Week 11 Preview

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Don't let fantasy football get in the way of giving thanks to with your family and friends. There's planty of other (and better) games this weekend. What a year to be stuck with the Lions and Cowboys. Charlie Batch? Ryan Leaf? Geez...

I've got an early update in case folks don't get access to the web before they head out to the holidays. If you missed the week 10 wrap-up, you can read it here. But let me Summarize. I said JK would fall: they did. I said that Brad Moses would make a run at the record: he did. I also said the battle of the Calvins would be surprisingly tight: it was. I thought Brown would whip McCowan: he did. And I expected Outlaw to beat Bud: Correct again. Rick Moses over Cantrell... Oops, I was wrong. You can't win them all, but I'm winning a lot of them. Three straight 5-1 weeks, I'm 37-22-1 so far this year.

Ricker (3-7) vs Outlaw (4-5-1)

While some of us are seeing our in-laws for Thanksgiving, Ricker is seeing Outlaw. This is a rematch of one of the most exciting BRFL games in history, Ricker's 61-57 win over Outlaw last season in week 16. In that game it was Torry Holt and Warrick Dunn trading TDs during the Monday night Rams / Bucs game. This year Rams/Bucs again on Monday night and Torry Holt and Warrick Dunn will be involved again. This year however they are all on Ricker's team along with Mike Alstott, Issac Bruce and Kurt Warner. So rather than trading TDs Ricker waiting his turn with as many as five players on Monday night. Outlaw gets started on Thursday with Bubba Franks and Ahman Green. He might build an early lead Thursday and Sunday, but look for Ricker to stage a furious rally to win Monday.

Brown (7-3) vs Rick Moses (4-6)

If it wasn't for Rick Moses' stumbles, we might be billing this game as a battle for "BRFL rookie of the year". Brown may have that sown up. However, despite losing 4 of 5, R-Mo can be potent as the 90 point game two weeks ago demostrates. He has very favorable matchups this week.

Brown would like to keep his two game cushion going into the next round of division play. Oakland plays at the Giants, who will need to regroup after cough up four TDs on Monday night. Marshall Faulk is in the fray in a Monday night game that has potential to light up the scoreboard. And Marty Booker shouldn't be overlooked this week since he plays against the Vikings.

Lots of points will be scored in this game. Brown has a edge due to Faulk on Monday. Rookie of the year? Fine, but Nander aims to "pull an Ichiro" and be MVP as well.

Cantrell (4-6) vs Brad Moses (7-3)

Can Cantrell pull out back to back wins over the Moses Brothers? Well, it's one thing to knock off Rick, but Brad may be another story. Cantrell will trot out Jake the Snake, but Brad has David Boston on the other end. Cantrell can trot out Ricky Williams, but if Ricky can't punch it in, maybe B-Mo's Aaron Brooks will. Cantrell has no answer for his old pal Randy Moss. Expect Brad Moses win his second week in a row versus a trading partner. And don't expect Grandma for Thanksgiving.

Best (5-5) vs Cousins (2-8)

After a couple games against league titans Jackson and JK, Best gets to face the "Titans" of Calvin Cousins and these Titans are playing the Steelers. That game has "low scoring" written all over it and that does not mean promise for Eddie George or Jerome Bettis. One ray of hope is that the Bus usually plays well when facing Best in the BRFL.

Best's Vikings are facing a tough D in the Bears, but they are facing the Bears at home, and that's been great news for the Vikings. Duante Culpepper has thrown a TD pass in 24 straight games and Cris Carter has caught a TD pass in 10 straight home games. Expect a doubling up sometine here. Best should win and go into division play at 6-5.

Deitrich (3-7) vs McCowan (5-4-1)

The "Battle of Cisco" will feature two struggling teams, McCowan and Deitrich. McCowan is living off previous successes when he was once the toast of the West. The points are serving him well in these lean times. However, if he wants to continue to chase a points slot, he's got to do better than the 22 he scored last week. His one-two punch of Rod Smith and Marvin Harrison are both in favorable matchups this week. Smith is especially key if Bud's Denver QBs get hot against the woeful Cowboys.

Just a hunch, but I predict one for the good old Bud. He needs to be the champ of something, his best bet is to be the champ of Cisco.

Jones/Klingman (8-2) vs Jackson (7-3)

Jackson is in a furious battle with Brad Moses for the West title, and while Brad gets to snack off the likes of Cantrell this week, Jackson gets the BRFL top team, Jones-Klingman. But how good is JK? Are they the 76 point monsters of week 9, or the lambs or week 10 that scored their first TD at 1:04 Pm Sunday and packed it in for the week. Bad news for JK. Curtis Martin is off. However, a favorable matchup for Peyton Manning. He gets to play at home against the 49'ers - those shootout kings, the 49'ers so expect big points.

But there is a catch. Jackson owns the 49'ers QBs. So if Jeff Garcia and Peyton Manning are going to be engaged in a shootout, expect Jackson to prevail, because he has Terrell Owens and coupld double Garcia's output.
