Commander Beverly Crusher, M.D. Chief Medical Officer, USS Enterprise Beverly has many ties to Starfleet. Her husband Jack served in Starfleet along with Jean-Luc Picard, and it was Jean-Luc who broke the news to her when Jack was killed. Beverly and Picard shared a very intimate relationship, although they never got involved with one another. Beverly deeply missed her husband, but was able to cope by having their son, Wesley. Beverly and Wesley came aboard the Enterprise-D where she served as Chief Medical Officer. She was offered the position of Head of Starfleet Medical, and departed the Enterprise while leaving Wes aboard. A year later, she returned to the ship. She continued her duties as well as her close relationship with Picard. She also took on more command duties and has even commanded the ship in times of crisis. images:
