Commander William T. Riker Executive Officer, USS Enterprise Born and raised in Alaska, Will Riker was very adventurous. He joined Starfleet and had a distinguished career, serving on starships such as the USS Potemkin and the USS Hood. During his time in Starfleet, he met and became romantically linked to Deanna Troi of the planet Betazed. While serving on the Potemkin, Riker was involved in a dangerous mission and a transporter accident created a clone of Riker that was stranded on the planet's surface (this discover wouldn't be made for several years). Riker was promoted to Commander and given the first officer position aboard the newly-commissioned Enterprise-D. Riker served well under the command of Jean-Luc Picard, and was surprised to find that Deanna Troi was also aboard the ship, serving as the vessel's counselor. Riker was offered over 3 Captain's positions while he was on the Enterprise, but he turned them down. He served under Picard for over 15 years before he accepted the promotion to Captain. Riker married Troi and they had one final mission on the Enterprise before disembarking for his new ship, the USS Titan. images:
