Lt. Commander Worf Tactical/Security Chief, USS Enterprise Worf is the first Klingon to enter Starfleet. Born by Klingons who were killed when Worf was young, he was raised by human parents Sergi and Helena Rhozenko. Worf is very unique in that he practiced many Klingon traditions, but he still understood and respected Humans and their traditions as well. Early in his Starfleet career, Worf was assigned to the Enterprise-D as a Lieutenant junior-grade. Worf developed a good friendship with security officer Tasha Yar, which made things awkward when Worf was promoted to Tasha's position after her untimely death. While on the Enterprise, Worf met a half-klingon ambassador named K'ehlyr and they had an affair; when he next saw K'ehlyr she was accompanied by their son, Alexander, much to Worf's surprise. Worf was unable to care for Alexander after his mother's death, so Worf sent the boy to live with the Rhozenkos. Alexander later came to stay with Worf on the Enterprise. After the Enterprise-D crashed on Veridian III, Worf took time away from Starfleet before being re-assigned to Deep Space 9. He has visited the Enterprise on occassion. images:
