The Bin Tops

This room is called the bin tops, where there are six bins. This is where the mills, another part of the plant give the distillery corn, or corn screenings, which is just corn that is already chopped up. They also put malt into a couple of the bins. This is what the cooker uses to make the corn mash. Sometimes I have to come up and rake the corn down so that the bins continue to empty. On night shift, I also have to measure how much is left in the bins.
