The Catwalk Principle

Here is a diagram of the catwalk principle. The fermenters in the diagram are about 30 to 40 feet tall. By having a catwalk, I am able to walk around above the fermenters so that I can fill them. Another person, the fermenter operator, works at the bottom of the fermenters, mostly emptying them, but I don't really know what all he does.

This diagram also shows how the fermenters are filled. The cooker sends corn mash to me in the catwalk and I direct it into the fermenters. I guess it isn't that confusing. The inoculation line is used to add inoculation from Yeast and Enzyme to the fermenter. More on that later.
