Mission #5 | |||||||||
Me and my two guards have decided to run down into the cellars to try to get the ferrets to leave immediately. "You are in Salamandastron. Get out, now!" I yelled, with an angry tone in my voice. Instead they hurled a javelin at me, but thank goodness I dodged it deftly. Before I knew it we were battling desperately with a half-dozen angry ferrets. The fight was definitely theirs, as they were throwing javelins through slits in the door and we couldn't fight back. We were just hacking at the door with our swords, trying to break it down. My guard next to me, a hare, got hit by a javelin in his chest and fell to the ground. He didn't have time to scream. I frantically decided to race to another door, because they are probably focusing on this door alone. We smashed the lock and broke open the door, and the ferrets were so surprised they ran wildy and started to fight among themselves. The fight ranged through a tunnel, and out of Salamandastron. Mission Accomplished. ----Written by Dandin Ruffbar |

Mission #10 | |||||||||
When I accepted the mission to find the rat, I had no idea how far it would go. My biggest worry then was how I could find the rat, because all hares, to me, look very similar. But I did find one who looked very different from the others, and I has a sneaky suspicion that he could be the one. I followed him around for a few days before making my move. I snuck up upon him and hit his head with my ash stick with a blow that could knock a badger senseless. The stick clanged off, and the hare turned, unharmed! I grabbed the "rabbit's" ears, and ripped off a mask! I was staring into the fully armored face of a rat. He had a helmet on, and under the false rabbit fur (which he removed himself), he was clad in fill battle armor, cap a pie! I pulled the twig on my stick that ejected a blade out of one end of my staff, and the rat raised a sword. Then, yelling, I charged. "FOR SALAMANDASTRON!" The rat perried, and then slammed his armored fist into my head. I collapsed and saw stars, while the rat lept upon me. I stuck the bladed end of my stick into his chest, but the armor deflected it, and the rat was upon me! I yelled and threw him off, where he quickly recovered and struck at me again. I blocked with my staff, and then saw my opening. I cut the leather strip which held his helmet on, and then smacked his head with my staff, sending the helmet to the ground. Now the rat, enraged, charged again, and I perried and caught him a quick, but not quite powerful enough, blow to the head, and the backed up, shanking his noggin and muttering curses. I lept upon him, and started slashing at his leather armor straps, trying to lower his defences. He cut into my arm, and I desperatly tried to remove that annoying armor, but I couldn't get it off him. Finally, bleeding, tired, and almost beaten, I retreated, to see the rat smiling, showing yellow teeth. He then charged me, and I was afraid that I was done for. Suddenly I got an idea, and grabbed a torch off the wall, I kicked his chest, and then lept upon him, holding his sword in place with my staff, and placing the torch up to his face. The wild eyes of the rat turned to fear and I said, "Now, rat. Drop your sword, or die!" He whimpered, but dropped his weapon. I then ripped off his armor and threw him agaist a wall, and smacked his head a good one, knocking him out. I then dragged him to a new prison cell, locked him up, and went back to the dining hall for dinner. -Tajon Barkfir |

Mission #9 | |||||||||
Taking my longbow and arrows and my dirk, I gestured to the two hares assigned to me and mouthed, "Don't talk unless you have to!" They nodded, and I sneaked off, the two hares following me. We bobbed and weaved, ducked and weaved. Finally, we got to the bridge and hid behind some bushes. I took the longbow off my back, and gestured to the two hares to do the same. Peering through the bushes, I saw Marlfoxes and a few vermin looking into the distance. I looked the same way and saw a few hares jogging towards the bridge. I thought, "Oh no! They'll be here jolly soon, wot!" Getting the arrow nocked on the string, I suddenly jumped up and yelled, "FIRE" My two hares jumped up and fired also. Our three arrows took down one of the Marlfoxes and two of the vermin. "Just five left!" I yelled to the two hares. I quickly placed another arrow and shot. The hares did the same. Sadly, the five vermin saw it coming this time, and four moved out of the way. 'Another vermin down.' I thought. Suddenly, I heard pounding paws. At the end of my eyes, I saw the hares running towards us. Any moment, they would reach us, but the vermin had already pulled out their swords, and the marlfox his axe getting ready to rush. I yelled at the two hares, "Draw your blades!" Quick as a flash, all three of us had our blades out, just in time to counter their first attack. I felt a stab in my arm. Whirling around, I saw that a vermin had tried to run me through, but while parrying with the marlfox, I had moved away, just in time. I quickly stabbed the vermin, and whirled back around to face the marlfox. He took a swing at me, which I ducked. While ducking, I slashed my blade out and made a deep cut in his leg, then quickly slashed my blade up, making a shallow cut on his stomach. This enraged him. Checking on the other two hares and making sure they were ok, I started jogging just out of reach of the Marlfox, who couldn't run because of his leg. Suddenly I dodged in and stabbed him in the arm. Unknowingly, I had given him a chance to swing at me too. Luckily, I saw it coming just before it hit, but I couldn't get out of the way fast enough, so I got a shallow cut on my cheek. Suddenly, the Marlfox swing at my leg, and the only way I could avoid the axe was to fall back. As I did, the Marlfox jumped on me. He was too close to use his axe now, but he quickly put his arm around my neck. I still had my blade in my hand, and while I was trying to get out of his grip and breath, I stuck my dirk into his stomach and jerked right and up. He became limp and fell to the earth. Looking up at my other two hares, I saw they had just won their battles too. I winked at them, and limped over to greet the hares that had just run accross the bridge. -Hon Rosie |
