Mission #13 Completed by Tajon Barkfir |
|||||||
I don't like toads. They are slimy, slow, and disgusting. But since I had accepted that mission, I had no choice. I took my squad and seperated it in half. One half had hand to hand weapons, while the other was armed with bows and javalins. We silently snuck towards the toad's camp. I can't understand toad lanugage at all, so all I heard was some grunting and gasping and slurping. I quickly put my hand to hand units in front, keeping my ranged in the rear. I took out my large longbow, and whispered, "Ready, aim, fire!" javalins and arrows flew through the air, slaying many toads. The toads couldn't understand it, and then charged in the direction of the arrows. "OK, move to location 2!" I whispered loudly. We quickly moved again. The toads couldn't understand where we had went,until another volley took down more of their ranks. "Next location!" We continued this procure for the last time before the toads caught on. They rushed us, and the battle began. Toads aren't very smart, so my hand to hand troops took out a lot. But many of my units were lost to the toads. We finally finished off most of them, and by then almost all our arrows and javelins were out. I ordered the group, "CCCHHHAARRGGEE!" and we stormed the remaining toad army. I swung and hit with my stick, while my javalin throwers used their javalins as hand-to-hand. We finally finished off their units, and marched back to Salamandastron, with victory in the air.
Mission #12 Completed by Hon Rosie |

I, Hon Rosie, started thinking about how I can figure out whether those vermin were good or evil. Getting an idea, I called the troop I had been assigned to over to me. "We'll spy on those searats, wot! If we see some treacherous actions, then we know they're evil." Saying this, I chose two of the best able bodied hares to accompany me. We armed ourselves, and snuck along the coast. Finding out what kind of vermin they were took only a short time. I sent one of the hares to bring back the troops armed. Meanwhile, the remaining hare and I set up plans. When the troop snuck back, I had them make two rows of semicircles around the small vermin camp. All got their stones in their slings. The first row was ready. I loaded my own sling and whispered, "Remember, I don't think these vermin are too treacherous! They just seem scared of something. Don't aim for them, just scare them enough to get them running away from Salamandastron! Ready? FIRE! FIRST LINE DOWN, RELOAD! SECOND RANK, FIRE! SECOND LINE DOWN, RELOAD! FIRST LINE FIRE! DOWN! RELOAD! SECOND FIRE! DOWN! RELOAD! FIRT LINE FIRE....STOP!" All the hares looked at the vermin's reatreating backs and set up a cheer. We set back for the mountain, and left the vermin's tent in case they needed any of the stuff. I went to Lord Tammo's door, and shouted, "Mission Accomplished, sah!"
Mission #14 Completed by Hon Rosie |

I, Hon Rosie, went up to my two best hare friends, Fleetsrunner and Sharpshooter, and asked them if they would help me. They replied that of course they would! We grabbed out longbows and as many arrows as our quivers could hold, and took a blade each, in-case the seagulls decided to dive in suddenly. Jogging to as high as the insides of Salamandastron would take us, we climbed out the highest window of Salamandastron. Then, we scaled the cliff face up to the top of the mountain, and saw that there were seagull's eggs up there. We decided that if these eggs were hatched, it would be to late to overcome the seagulls, so we took out our slings, and slung them away as far as possible. Then, we were spotted by the seagulls. Mad at what had happened to their eggs, they started flying over to us. We quickly strung our bows, and aimed. We all let it go at the same time, and started shooting nonstop, hitting bullseyes every time. (My full name is Honorable Rosemary Hawkeyes.) Finally, we ran out of arrows, and we had to unstring our bows. We got our blades in our right paws, and the unstrung long-bows in the other. As the birds came down, we swung out our longbows at them like stave, and stabbed them if they came too near. Finally, only a few were left. Suddenly, one swooped down and grabbed Fleetsrunner. I threw my dirk and hit the bird, making it drop the hare. As Sharpshooter guarded our backs, I checked on how Fleetsrunner was, who had been knocked out by the fall. I pulled my dirk out, picked up my longbow again, and we finally finished off the seagulls. Picking up Fleetsrunner, we carried her to the infirmary, then we both rushed to Lord Tammo's chamber and reported. "Mission Accomplished, sah!"
Mission #16 Completed by Hon Rosie |

I, Hon Rosie, went up to the two hares I knew to swim really well. I told them, "I need you to follow me with a mallet and a blade. Quickly now, wot wot!" I turned, got my mallet, blade, and picked up a javelin from the weaponry room, and set off, the two hares following me. I tucked everything into my belt, climbed up a cliff, the two hares still following me, and dived into the sea, almost as gracefully as an otter. From the silence, I was sure that the other two hares were just as good swimmers as any otter. I turned and asked, "Your names?" "Ffloger, wot." "Tlanger, marm, that's me bally name, wot!" "Ok, Ffloger and Tlanger, be quiet now. We are going to be hammering holes into the vermin ship you can see out there. There are 50 searats aboard, wot, so we must do this now, or it will be too close to shore and they'll escape. There are three ships, so one each, good show, wot! Quickly now!" We struck out silently towards the ships, and then we separated to our own ships. I took out my mallet, and I quickly struck the hull in one place five times. From hearing the underwater poundings on the other ships, I could tell that Ffloger and Tlanger knew wot they were to do, and we were also doing it quickly. Then we struck again in a different place, making several holes. Suddenly, an arrow came whizzing down from the sky. "QUICK!" I bellowed. "To shore!" All three of us struck for shore. More arrows came down. "Ouch!" I winced. An arrow had hit my shoulder. Ffloger quickly pulled it out, and helped me swim the rest of the way. It stung in the seawater, but I knew it would help the wound heal faster. We finally got ashore, and looked over our shoulders. The ships were already more than halfway down, and all the searats were screaming, some jumping overboard. Then, my two companion hares and I found out something we had never known before: Searats couldn't swim! Well, most couldn't. The few that were able to were able to quickly swim to shore. Ffloger and Tlanger quickly pulled out the few javelins we had picked up from the weaponry room, and I did the same. We shot the water rats, and none were able to avoid our javelins, the water was too hard to change direction quickly in. All of our javelins were exhausted, and three water rats were left. They floundered to shore, and pulled out their blades. We three hares did the same, and we had the advantage: they were still dripping wet from their dip in the water, and we were almost completely dry. The three water rats were quickly overcome. Triumphant, Floger, Tlanger, and I ran back into Salamandastron at top speed, skidded to a stop in front of Lord Tammo's door and panted out, "M...phooh. Mission... *breathing heavily* whoo...whoo. M..mission Com- Complete, phooh, sah!" |
