Mission #18 Completed by Swifty As commanded I took 1/2 of Salamandastron's mighty hares to see what was wrong. When we first left I wanted to get there as quickly as we could. I ordered our hares to run full speed for Mossflower. During that day no trouble came. Around noon we were beginning to see grass but I knew everyone including myself was tired. I halted our group and set up camp there. It was a great night, there were to villains or anything. So I knew we all slept fine because in the morning I had a herd of snoring fat hares. When everyone was awake we ate breakfast. This consisted of bread and whatever else they packed in their backpacks. No food was spared because we knew Redwall was about 3 hours away. And we all know how fantastic the Redwall cooks are! Exactly on time 3 hours later, we were welcome and with great hearts and best of all DINNER! We slept peacefully all night and woke up to do what we came here for. We then left searching what there was to be searched. We sure enough found what was going on. It was not a big enough trouble to require 1/2 of all of Salamandastron's hares, probably only about a half dozen. 6 big rats were holding a bunch of food, valuables, and some slaves. It was not difficult to defeat them. With all our hares only an idiot would stand up to this many hares with only 6 next to him. Sure enough we found our idiot. The guy was actually willing to fight. He charged right up to me and tried to spear me. I moved to the side and with my ferret reflexes, grabbed the spear and flung it. The ugly rat went flying over to the side. The others were not so stupid so when my 2nd in command told them to leave and never come back, they did just that. Except for their leader. What is to do with an idiot? He is no use as a slave, and I knew he would never want to be reformed like me. I could not just leave him because I knew he would plunder again. I let the hares decide and they said to bring him to Salamandastron, give him a boat and 2 month's rations and send him sailing. So I did just that. With what they took, such as valueables, we gave them to Redwall so they could make something nice for the Abbot. As for the slaves they had, Redwall Abbey was more than happy to take them into their care. Mission #33 Completed by Swifty When I saw the fish I was sure part of my looting life came back. But I knew no such thing would be done by me. When I recieved this order I knew exactly what I was going to do. I had a friend who was the skipper of many otters. His name was Morgan. I went to him and sure enough he said he would help. I would not put him to work right away. This was one of my best friends. He was one of the creatures who knew I was not pure evil. I asked Tammo if we could have a real feast welcoming these otters. This was put into action. We gave them one of the finest feasts on short notice I have ever seen. The only thing my friend could say was "Wow." At night I let him sleep in my chamber while I took the guest room. At dawn we went to do the search right away. Morgan said, "Err, me shipmate, this will be a breeze." With that he jumped down into the ocean. Following him was his band of otters. If I could take it all back I would. What we didn't know was that there was a large eel at the bottom guarding the other goods. With no weapons it was no wonder that 5 died, fortunately not my friend. He was the heavy hitter type so he wanted vengeance. Rounding up the most swimmers he could get when went down armed with weapons and every tid bit he could get. Sure enough, he would win, even an idiot could see that. I saw that he moved even faster then the eel. Like a lightening bolt. He really wanted this eel to pay. With everything he had he did not need an army behind him. He was ramming and slashing the eel with 10 fold of what his normal fight was like. This was almost impossible because he was under water and slashing like he was on ground with a light dagger. Blood was everywhere, so I could only hope he was winning. In an hour I saw him come up. What was his reason? He needed air, I begged him to go into clearer water so that I could see him. He did what I wished. Then I saw it. It was amazing, he was now fighting 3 eels, with the first one dead and the rest about to become rotten sea lung. He was like a badger with the bloodwrath, swish, slash, bam! He cut all three eels, and they died instantly. He came up with all of his helpers, each carrying 2 items each, all were items of gold and gems. Later we found a searat captains body. We all then knew the mystery of the golden fish. Mission #6 Completed by Swiftback After my briefing I immediately grabbed my short sword and my bow and arrows and headed out the door. I ran almost all the way there. I climbed up a tree and scoped out the camp. There were a ton of rats! I got one of my blue feathered arrows, making sure it was straight, and shot at a rat. I was rewarded with a short squeal. Since nobeast was paying attention to that rat, nobeast saw. I kept on doing that until somebeast noticed. "Sombest's attakin' us'ns wid blue arrers!!!" He yelled. All of the rats retreated. Then I was the fox. He was wearing a thick fur coat, probably from mice. He looked around. When he saw that no rats were there, he quickly ran back in. Then, as quickly as I could, I went down the tree and dashed to the tent. I made it collapse. There was a ruffling sound. I quickly rigged a tripwire that came before an herbal mixture that could make you go unconcious. I hid in some nearby bushes. The fox came scrambling out, tripped on the tripwires and fell face flat into the potion. I got out a bag and stuffed him in. Then I pulled out three more bags out and put him into all of them, just to make sure he wouldn't claw his way out. I tied the bag's opening with a string and slung him over my back. When I got to Salamandastron I put him in the prison with the permission of Tammo. I ran outside and yelled, "I am triumphant!!!" |
