Skyline: An aeroplane files overhead with a KACL banner.

Plot: KACL are competing against another radio station, KPXY, in a weight-loss competition. The winning team gets a trip to Las Vegas! Roz, Kenny, Bulldog, Gil and Noel are all eating as much as they can before the contest so that they will lose more weight when it starts. Frasier refuses to do this.

When the teams meet up on Kelly Kirkland's Channel 6 show, Coffee With Kelly, for the first weigh-in, the KACL team have only lost 9 pounds against the other team's 17 pounds. Frasier then recognises their station manager. It's Wayne Shafter, his old school bully from high school. Suddenly the competition becomes personal for Frasier, and he resolves to win it. He places a bet with Wayne - if KACL win, Wayne has to replace Frasier's chess set that he stole from him back in school. If KPXY win, Frasier has to come to KPXY in his old field hockey uniform.

Back at the apartment, Eddie is staring at a pigeon that Martin has named Barney. Barney crashes into the window and Martin and Niles tend him back to health as Frasier brings his colleagues back to his place to "police" each other in the last 12 hours before the final weigh in. The KACL team head off to Frasier's bathroom, which he has turned into a steam room, whilst Martin gets ready to release Barney. Eddie grabs Barney and runs off with him. Martin lies to Niles and says Barney is sleeping, and an unknowing Niles, who has gotten attached to Barney, goes home happily to Daphne. Kenny then comes out for some water, and Frasier sees pigeon feathers everywhere and thinks Kenny has eaten Barney! Thankfully for the team, they are put off food for ages when Martin warns them not to go in the hallway as Eddie has thrown up Barney and is eating him again!

The final weigh in arrives, but who has won the trip to Vegas?
