Skyline: A rainbow appears over Seattle.

Plot: Frasier is on a plane, and he meets fellow passenger Dr Anne Ranberg, who isn't a very good flier. To help take her mind of turbulence, he tells her about the past few weeks of his life.

Charlotte is due to move back to Chicago that evening, and Frasier is determined to make their last day special. He's even late for his show, forcing Kenny to fill in for him at KACL. Kenny enjoys DJ-ing so much that he decides to become one again, like he was 20 years ago. That evening, Frasier makes Charlotte a farewell meal, but he keeps getting interrupted by Martin and Ronee, Niles and Daphne, Kenny - and 3 of Daphne's brothers, Simon, Michael and Stephen, who have popped in for a surprise visit! After finally getting rid of them, Frasier and Charlotte enjoy their evening and then have to say goodbye.

Next day Ronee tells Martin that the hotel where they are having their wedding has called, saying that everything is ready for May 15th - but their wedding is July 15th. Martin realises he booked the wrong date - May 15th is Eddie's birthday - but Frasier and Niles offer to help plan the wedding in just 8 days as their present. A grateful Martin and Ronee accept. Frasier decides to marry them himself as he has a license following the time he married 2 of his callers on air one Valentine's Day. The wedding day arrives and everything starts going wrong - the Moon brothers get the flower girl drunk, meaning Alice has to fill in; the air conditioning stops working on a hot day; and an accident with a cannon means Niles drops the wedding ring into Eddie's dinner - where he eats it!

Niles and Daphne take Eddie to a nearby vet where Dr Hauck manages to get the ring out of Eddie - and then Daphne's waters break. Dr Hauck now has to deliver a human baby, when he is more familiar with animals, and baby David Crane is welcomed to the world. Frasier, Martin and Ronee come in to see them and Frasier marries Martin and Ronee in the vet's office before Daphne is taken to hospital.

A week later Frasier is feeling lonely. Martin has moved in with Ronee, Niles and Daphne are busy with David, and Charlotte has gone. Earlier, Bebe had found him a job in San Francisco, where he now decides to take. He meets Bebe at Cafe Nervosa where she tells him he's got the job, and she recommends he visit her doctor to get rid of his "crow's feet" around his eyes. Roz then comes in and tells Frasier, Gil and Noel that she knows who the new station manager is - her!

That night Frasier invites everyone over to tell them the news, but Bebe's doctor has given him eyedrops which have made him look like he is crying. Everyone thinks that Frasier is dying, something not helped when his doctor calls! Frasier corrects everyone and says he is moving to San Francisco, because he wants what his family has. Everyone wishes him good luck, and Frasier later does his farewell speech on KACL where he recites a Tennyson poem, Ulysses, about taking chances in life.

Back on the plane, Anne thanks Frasier for his story, because it helped her get through the flight. The plane then touches down - in Chicago. "Wish me luck," Frasier says to Anne in the final line of the series.

Subtitles: The Gulfs May Wash Us Down; The Happy Isles; An Idle King; To Strive, To Seek, To Find.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Alone in the apartment, Frasier gives Lilith a call to see how Frederick is doing, and we learn that he has changed chess coach again. Frasier also mentions how scared he was when he moved back from Boston.

Trivia: The very last episode! It ends with a slight cliffhanger, leaving it up to you as to what Frasier did when he got off the plane in Chicago. The subtitles of this episode are all taken from the Tennyson poem, Ulysses, that Frasier says in his farewell speech at KACL. We finally meet 2 more of Daphne's brothers, meaning that all together we have now met 4 of them (we met Nigel in Ep 165 "Something Borrowed, Someone Blue"). David Crane enters the world on May 15th 2004, which is also Eddie's birthday - although Eddie's birthday was May 7th in Ep 103 "Desperately Seeking Closure". David is named after Frasier co-creator David Angell in a nice tribute to him. Hester Crane gets a couple of mentions, and there's a final mention of Chez Henri. Cleto Augusto played the Deliveryman in the pilot - there, he brought Martin's chair in, and now 11 years later the same character returns to take it away. He's the only person besides the 5 regulars to appear in both the first and last episodes. Several characters are named after writers, past and present. Dr Anne Ranberg is named after former writers Chuck Ranberg and Anne Flett-Giordano; Dr Hauck after former writer Charlie Hauck; Dr Mark Reisman, whom Frasier will be replacing in San Francisco, is named after former writer Mark Reisman; Dr Hanning after writer Rob Hanning; and lastly current writer Chris Marcil pops up as Bebe's son Steve! Roz makes a reference to the time she slept with Frasier in Ep 209 "The Guilt Trippers" and the time she accidentally told all of Seattle in Ep 212 "Enemy At The Gate". Oh, and Martin thanks Frasier for everything - a nice link back to the pilot when Frasier moaned that Martin never thanked him for anything.
