Galadriel's Mirror Gown

Galadriel...ah now there's another beautiful character for you. I had been dying to do this dress, not for myself, but just to make it. Well it ended up being quite a pain in the arse, but it came out quite nice.
I used Simplicity 9891 as a base and went from there.
The dress consists of two dresses; an underlayer and an overlayer. For the underlayer, I used a very lightweight white lining material (that frayed quite a bit). And for the overlayer, I used this beautiful white lace (that I found on sale at JoAnn's!)
I also created a crown and a brooch, but I have not been sent pictures of them. Just for the record, they came out very well!
Sorry I don't have too many pictures yet, but here's two. (And Shannon looks just like Galadriel).

BTW: I am also making this dress for myself out of more expensive materials, and in exact detail with Galadriel's Preview Cloak. The actual dress is far more detailed. The belt pattern is beaded leaves with a wavy line of pearls going around and down. The neck-facing has a row of pearls on the top and bottom, there is an invisible zipper in the back, and the dress is supposedly seamed at the waist. The belt ties in the back. The actual fabric is a gorgeously embroidered and heavily beaded silk chiffon with another layer of chiffon underneath. I am still using lace for my recreation (because I don't have time to bead a whole dress and embroider it as well) but my lace is prebeaded with thousands of clear sequins sewn on to make it shimmer.
