Dear Parent

Dear Parents

Term 1 2006 is now history.  We move into the Easter season, a very special time in the calendar for Christians around the world.

Holidays, Easter eggs, fluffy bunnies … celebration of hope, the love of God, the cross and our ultimate salvation, Christ.  What images and perceptions will your child(ren) take away from this Easter?

Our children have been, and will be, bombarded by the media and society around them with many images of Easter - most of them nothing to do with what Easter really is.  As teachers and parents it is vital we redress the balance and convey in some way what God has done for us through his son Jesus Christ.  Don’t rely on attending church during Easter as the only input - your direct influence is crucial.  Read the Easter story to the children, discuss its meaning and its central role to our faith.  Focus on love, sacrifice, forgiveness, cleansing, eternal life - life abundant!  These are vital messages!

However, do enjoy the fact that we do have an Easter break!  As a staff we have had a busy term and next term looks full too.

Thank you to everyone who gets involved in the school - especially encourage you to keep praying for the Primary School and its role in Christian education.

Look forward to seeing you back at school on Monday 1 May.

DENTAL CARE OVER THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

The School and Community Dental Service will      operate an emergency service over the school holidays.  This service is to provide relief of pain only and will not undertake ‘routine’ treatment.  The service will be available from 8.30am until 12.30pm each working day from the Oral Health Centre (Cnr Tuam and Antigua Streets).  This service will operate by appointment only and if we are unable to see your child, alternative

options will be given.  If your child has dental pain as a result of an accident please contact your dentist in the first instance.

You can phone and make an appointment for the   emergency clinic by ringing your local school dental clinic - all dental clinic phones will be diverted to the central office.
