This expansive area is surrounded by mountains that lead to nowhere. The area is in fact, so large, that it is relatively easy to find yourself lost.

To the North, there are the Royal Campgrounds. Camels, gold and the kings of theivery nest there. Tents of heavy burgandy fabric, trimmed with golden threads pock the dune-sides of Scruple Barrens.

To the other compass points lie treachery or treasures--perhaps even a hidden oasis.

Well, the area has been conquered by the late Iorek, and now Xaphania owns much of the land in the Desert.

There are sand-pits, temples, pyramids, and hidden artifacts throughout the sand. A trek through there may reward you with an famed lithogram or a famished lioness.

If there's any where in Underworld to catch a dragon, visit the Sand Pits. There's a good chance of falling into one and becoming lost to the elements, but that's the only area where Tracks are still maintained.
