The Winding Road

Throughout the history of the Isle, the Winding Road's role has changed. It has had many names under different tyrants, but all of their reigns seemed to come to a quick, drastic end.

Thus, no one owns the Road, nor tries to own it any more. It runs itself, wondrously never needing upkeep. It is a natural path that runs the length of the Kingdoms.

Even though its inhabitants do not theorhetically belong to any kingdom, a great mixture of cultures finds its home on the Road.

There is quite a plethora of shops and lodgings here, along with many mysteries.

Have fun.

Major Areas:

Tailor's Hut: This old woman can make you anything from cloth your heart desires...if you have the funds.

Fishing Village: Search for the Golden Pisces in this small town's waters...for a fee.

Great Lake: Home to the Lady of the Lake. Meet with her if you'd like your likeness in the Hall of Heroes.

Hermit's Cabin: Currently Vacant. Have a jaunt around the fields though.

Dragon's Den: Sells, buys, cleans, cares for Dragons. Click here for a listing. Run by Grand Dragon-Master Uriko.

Old Cathedral: In better shape then the one in Disks, this is a remnant of Overworld prescence. There was an invasion of the humans once, but they quickly left after...persuasion.

The Meadow: Cared for by Andrew, come here to see various magical creatures.

Lovebird Cottage: Owned previously by an elderly couple, this home is adorably set beside a quiet water fall. The couple used to sell the most wonderful baked goods. 'Shame, what happened...It is currently vacant, and for rent.

Clocktower Farms: Cups may sell the most agriculture, but this place sells the best...or would if someone lived here. It has a large clock with beautiful bells that can be heard throughout the kingdoms. It broke when its previous owner was murdered--Iorek. Sheep and goats and cows roam freely through the fields now.

Campgrounds: Once used for the Founding Four's armies, it is abandoned. Not completely useless, Xaphania, a wanderer makes her home here in a tent.

Marduk Times Headquarters: The Times is the biggest paper in the Isle. It used to have to run 'underground' due to its controversial nature, but the Times can now be delivered to your door. The endless clacking of quills and printing fayes can be heard, intermingled with the endless stories and advice from Stubs, the manager. Molly, and elderly lady, waits at the front desk for visitors.

Infirmary: Beautiful, the Infirmary is a network of volunteer nurses and doctors that can help you when ill or wounded for no fee. The only knowledge tree in both worlds grows here, in full purple leaves year-round. Donations are accepted for the upkeep of the Infirmary though. Nurse awaits you at the front desk. Volunteers wanted.
