Kingdom of Snow, Land of Ice, Domain of Sleet. Wons is many things, and they are all clean, crisp, and fresh. The kingdom is also very secluded. Due to its placement, many travellers are put-off, because it is near nothing else, save snow drifts.

The people who do live here, however, love it. It is peaceful and calm. They are self-reliant in most ways, and what they need that they cannot themselves grow, they have imported and then jarred, stocked up for winter.

Entering the area, you are liable to meet one of the people. They dress warmly and usually shy from strangers.

The first object that disjoins itself from the snow is Crazy Rhubarb's Caribou Ranch. Caribou and Elk, the magical variety, are sold and rented for your journeys through the Snow Plains. Uriko, owner of the Dragon's Den runs the place. It is configured of mostly of fence-mazes, but there is a squat cottage in the center, with a siberian tiger at the door. If smoke is coming from the chimney, Uriko is bound to be inside. If she isn't there, her assistant Luke will be.

Next are the Igloos. Not Overworld igloos, the small, sorry excuses. But real Igloos. The sizes of houses, and just as complex. The Wons take the ice building to an art. I wouldn't recommend knocking on one of these doors. The people inside won't welcome you, and you might very well get your hand frozen to the door.

Next, on top of a distant crystaline peak, is the Ice Palace. Here resides King Tremalken. The points of the turrets pose a deadly threat to any passing dragon, and the severe temperatures cannot be melted by their fire. Many Draconians never made it this far when they roamed freely.

Within the Palace is a complex of rooms. A small cupping in the center of each houses a small torch. This, amazingly enough, heats the room and provides light. The walls are built over a foot thick, and sturdy. One of the many reasons is so that they cannot be seen through. But if you screamed, you wouldn't be heard through the other side. Nice enough if you want a little tranquility.

Ice sculptures that never melt away brighten every bare room. Many of the rooms are forgotten over time. Even the King may not know of all of them.

There is a heated spring beneath the castle. Only the King is permitted here. There are also shelves, reading chairs and a spare bed if the whim takes hold of him to rest here.

Behind the castle are the Frozen Forests. Trees that have not felt the kiss of the sun--even Underworld's false sun--in centuries. They reach up like aged fingers toward the sky, hoping they may someday melt to end their sorrow. It is a very sad sight that does not help the depression some Wons face because of their separation from it all. Ibex and snow beasts live among the frozen apendages of the trees.
