This Canyon is gorgeous during sunrises and sunsets. The peaceful surroundings are said to be enhanced by the clouds above. Since the dawn of time, it was said to house the angels.

Quite wrong, were the accusations, but not too far from the truth. The Nurii inhabit the purple clouds in the pale yellow sky, and they do tend to look like angels. They have feathered wings with which they can fly, and their frames are tall and thin. They tend to have faces that are flawless.

Their differences are then immediately noticable. They have taloned feet and their eyes sometimes dialate so completely that the iris takes over the surface of the eye. Half of the population--the half of the population that is not considered refined--tend to have tails and appear on the whole more like gargoyles than angels.

To reach the city you either have to have an invitation, a friend on the inside, or have some way to fly, as visitors who cannot manage on their own are only percieved as a nusiance, and are not allowed. A golden disk is sent to those with an invitation and you are taken up post haste.

Upon the clouds sleep tall buildings made of gold. There are openings large enough to walk through, as Nurii inhabit every level, and this enables them to take off from the most advantageous situation.

Most noticably is Spiral Tower, as it spins and contorts up toward the earth's crust. The Royals live here. The rooms are furnished with white marble, and have furniture that would fit the Nurii anatomy. On the whole, very plain rooms with little differences from many of the other Underworld buildings.

Next is the Constellation Complex. This is a very large building where the population lives. If you have nothing extraordinary about your blood, you live here, and most likely are part of the army.

There is the Lunar Gazebo as well. The scientists and romantacists have written about it for centuries. This is where observation of the real heavens, above our levels, in actual space are taken. Euclid studies there now, and if you'd like to know anything about the real sky, speak with him.

The clouds below are quite the enigma. The buildings of the Nurii were created to sit on top of them, but if a being were to walk on the clouds, they would fall straight through. Paths of floating rock are strung between the other buildings if Nurii desire to stretch their legs, or for their visitors.
