Here is my first and only attempt at designing a heart. Not all that amazing, but it was fun. It hangs on my front door now. It was tatted with size 10 crochet cotton. I hated using it, but it was a pretty variegated pink and it was on clearance!
Heart Pattern:
Start at the tre-foil (clover)
R:5-3-3-3-5 CL.
R:5+5-3-2-2-3-5-5 CL.
R:5+3-3-3-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5-5-5-5. RW.
R:5-5+5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5+5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5-5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5-5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5-5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.

Now here's the bottom ring:
R:5+5-5 CL. RW.

And just finish up the opposite side:
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5-5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
R:5+5-5-5 CL. RW.
CH 5-5. RW.
