This edging is called "Black Magic" and is from Mary Konior's Book Tatting with Visual Patterns. This beautiful edging is indicative of her designs! I love this book so much that I have just ordered another of her books, Tatting Patterns. I may have to research Tatting in Lace as well!

Appropriately enough, I am tatting "Black Magic" in Black size 10 DMC Cebelia. I am using my Black Abalone Shuttle as well. One shuttle and a second (ball) thread is required for this pattern.
