| Susan Bates Metal - This was my first shuttle, it was the only one I could find. It is my least favorite! Love her crochet hooks, hate her shuttles | |
| Susan Bates Plastic - I liked these much better than the metal! With this shuttle, my tatting skills really blossomed | |
| Boye Plastic - These are rather large, which makes them clumsy for everyday use, but fabulous for larger thread, like size 3 perle coton. | |
| Boye Metal - I like this shuttle much more than it's cousin, the susan bates metal. I was surprised by this! | |
| Sterling Silver by the Shuttlesmith - Wonderful shuttle, perfect in every way. | |
| Antique Black Celluloid - A smelly old antique shuttle! In great shape. | |
| Antique Green Bakelite - An even smellier antique shuttle, nice shape though. | |
| Sterling Silver Antique Replica - Not an antique, but very pretty. I have a little 3/4" charm for my necklace too! | |
| Antique Chrome with Etched Scrollwork - My first bona fide shuttle find in an antique store! | |
| Inox from Germany - A nice little plastic shuttle that comes apart to load thread. Good for fine threads. | |
| Skacel Addi Plastic Tortoiseshell - This shuttle holds a place in my heart. I always come back to it! | |
| Aero - Nice hook, racheting bobbin, this is a nice shuttle, although a little light-weight. | |
| Pony - Very similar to the Aero, but not quite as nice. | |
| Clover - When you think tatting shuttle, you think of the clover. Nice shape, size, and spike. | |
| Debbie-A Comfi Shuttle - Like a clover, but with grippy raised sides. | |
| Pink Plastic - A cheap plastic shuttle that is surprisingly pleasant to tat with. | |
| Tatsy Amber Plastic - A giant amber plastic shuttle. I just had to get it. Good for gigantic threads. | |
| Chen-Chen with Inlay - I love the inlaid wood design on this shuttle, which came from Spiritwind. | |
| Polymer Clay by Jen - I made this monstrosity myself, from polymer clay using the Addi as a model | |
| Solid Maple by Tighe - Again using the Addi as a model, Tighe made this for me. I enjoyed it for the short time that it was in existence... | |
| Pansies by Georgia Seitz - I love pansies, and this is such a pretty shuttle! Better for fine tatting thread. | |
| Pelc 2-Bobbin3 - This is like a Susan Bates Metal but with 2 bobbins. I have done some fancy tatting tricks with this shuttle! | |
| Birdseye Maple by David Reed Smith - My tiniest shuttle! With a wooden spike. | |
| Padouk by David Reed Smith - A beautiful rich red shuttle, with a brass spike. | |
| East Indian Rosewood by David Reed Smith - My favorite of the David Reed Smiths in my collection. So pretty and a perfect size. it has a brass spike. | |
| Antique Justrite Twist Apart - An antique shuttle that twists apart into 2 leaves, to make loading the thread easy. | |
| Black Abalone - A beautiful little shuttle, an almost black teal. I really enjoy tatting with this shuttle, even with its natural defects. | |
| Water Buffalo Horn - I love the idea of this shuttle, and it has a wonderful look, but it is too delicate to tat with, I think. | |
| Brown Lip - Another shell, this one is a creamy beige. It is very thin, and is better suited to finer threads. | |
| Jemima Puddleduck Maple by Chris Parsons - A really adorable shuttle. | |
| Solid East Indian Rosewood - A nice bodied wooden shuttle, with a wooden spike. | |
| GR8 Brothers Antler Shuttle - A chunky little shuttle with an integrated hook and a sewing machine bobbin. The antler is so Colorado woodsy! | |
| Antique Ivory - This might be whale bone (tooth), which I think is also considered ivory. It has a wonderful patina | |
| Antique Celluloid with Bobbin - I had my eye on one of these for a while, and this one just appeared! The bobbin is also celluloid. | |
| Fishing Lure by Jen and Tighe - This just seemed appropriate! It actually worked, and pretty well, too. | |
| Silent Tatter Piqua Amarillo with Ebony Dot Inlay - This has got to be one of the greatest finds of the century. This is a fabulously made shuttle!! | |
| White Cheapies - These are just like the pink one I have. These came from England, so I'm suspicious that the pink one may be as well. | |
| Abalone - Very colorful, and quite nice to tat with. | |
| Silent Tatter Zebrando - I loved the first so much, I had to get another. I miss the ebony eyes, though. | |
| Tulipwood by David Reed Smith - I broke down and got another, in my favorite size. | |
| Fishbone - What is it about shuttles and fish? It just seems to me that they go together. | |
| Amber - No, it's not a cough drop! | |
| Coconut - UNGA BUNGA! This is a great, chunky chocolate shuttle. | |
| Mad tatter - This is a 'what-if" shuttle. What if a shuttle was made out of countertop material? | |
| Small Black Antique - My Dad found this one for me at a flea market! | |
| Milward - A black and white plastic shuttle from England | |
| Henry the 8th and his wives - This set of handpainted wooden shuttles depicts old King Henry the 8th and his 6 wives. | |
| Ann Margaret Keller Shuttles - These wood shuttles are from Ireland, handpainted by Ann Margaret Kellert | |
