Alexander Bishop Butler and his wife Charlotte Selina (Mortimer), and 6 children arrived in Port Phillip, Monday 16 December 1839 the day of the death of their cousins John & Sarah Blanch. From notes on Sarah Blanch, Charlotte is dau of Elizabeth Vaughan and Jackson Mortimer born c1800 and died 1860, and sister to Ann who wed John Blanch and with John was killed, as was employee William Henry Mortimer. Ten days after their arrival in Port Phillip, Charlotte Selina Butler gave birth to her seventh child, a son, Phillip Henry, 29 December 1839, baptised in the Independent Church 9 February 1840.
