Henry Jones was found dead Mon 10 May 1841 on his station near Mount Macedon, after his horse returned with saddle and bridle. He arrived overland from Sydney and first consulted Dr Cussen on 1 Aug 1839, with symptoms of epilepsy. He had been practising four years in Liverpool Infirmary, and was alive to the nature of the disease. The deceased died intestate; he has relations in England where his life is insured. Report of Inquest in Port Phillip Herald, 14 May 1841, which ends 'The funeral took place yesterday afternoon.
Mr Henry Jones, 8 p, Intermediate, came Sep 1840 on the Himalaya. Henry became medical dispenser to the aboriginals of Melbourne (or Western Port District) and also produced a remarkable suite of 12 etchings around 1841 – probably the first in Victoria – showing various views of early Melbourne. James Jones wed Mary Jones Powell in 1840 at Church Of England St James, Melbourne
baptised Susannah 1841,
From on Sunday, 9 November, 2008

I am currently researching a James Jones, carpenter, and his wife Mary, formerly Powell, who lived at George Town, Tasmania, during the 1840s. Their first child in Tasmania was born on 18 July 1842.
* I have not as yet found an arrival date or a marriage date for them in Tasmania.
* James was a former convict according to the 1843 census for George Town. He does not appear to have been the James Jones of the Lady Nugent, who arrived in 1834.
* Mary Powell arrived free to the colony according to the above census record.

I have checked the marriage of the above James Jones and his wife Mary Jones Powell, and the baptisms of Susannah and Isabella.
* James Jones of the Parish of Pascoevale, Melbourne, married Mary Powell Jones of the Parish of St. James by License on 12 February 1840.
* Susannah, daughter of James and Mary Jones, born 20 January 1841, was baptised in the Parish of St. James, Melbourne on 12 February 1841. James was recorded as a carpenter.
Does not fit, if family went to Tasmania after 1 Jul 1841 and before 18 Jul 1842
* Isabella, daughter of James, servant, and Mary Jones of Melbourne, was born on 15 January 1846. She was baptised on 5 April 1846. Wesleyan Baptisms, Melbourne.
