Dodgson with whom she left Drysdale in 1864 as he moved around circuits in his ministry in the Wesleyan (Methodist) church. She died at Brunswick (Victoria) in 1874 and was buried at Coriyule.

Edward Thomas Newton came to Pport Phillip from Launceston. Edward Newton was working for John Batman on his sheep station an the Deep Creek in March 1837, about 15 or 20 miles from Maribrynong, on the Saltwater River. On 1st November 1837, he purchased at the 2nd land auction in Melbourne, Allotment 14 of Block 21, for 35 pounds.
