This Indenture made the 16th day of July 1849 Between Edward H Nock of the Town of Frankfort in the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the first part and Isaac Bratcher of the County of Grayson and State of Kentucky of the other part Witnefseth that the said Edward H. Nock for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred and Seventy seven dollars the Receipt of one third of Said Consideration in hand paid, is hereby acknowledged  and the Said Isaac Bratcher two notes for the remaining two thirds to be paid in One and two years from this date in Equal annual payments hath given granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents give grant bargain Sell and convey unto the said Isaac Bratcher his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the County of Ohio and State aforesaid on the waters of Caney Creek and being part of a tract of 1585 acres conveyed to the said Edward H. Nock by Elisabeth Campbell Stewart by her attorney in fact R. G. Samuel by deed dated on the 9th day of November 1848 and Recorded in the Clerks office of Grayson County in Deed Book H Page 447 and being Lot No 11 as will more fully appear by a reference to a division of land between Beall and Campbell by a decree of the Federal Court which is refered to for more certainty and the part now intended to be conveyed is bounded as follows To wit  Beginning on a beech on the North bank of Caney Corner to Reuben Bratchers running thence with his line North 17 1/2 East 306 poles to a beech in McDaniels line thence with Joseph McDaniels line South 37 west 128 poles to a sweet gum McDaniels corner thence with another of his lines South 37 West 70 poles to two sugar trees and white Oak on the bank of Caney  Said McDaniels corner thence up the Same with Several meanders there of to the Beginning Containing One hundred and Sixty Seven acres To have and to hold the Said tract or parcel of land together with all and Singular the Appurtenances and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining unto the said Isaac Bratcher his heirs or assigns forever  And the said Edward H. Nock doth further Covenant and agree to and with the said Isaac Bratcher his heirs or afsigns forever that he will and shall forever warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land from the Claim or Claims of himself his heirs or afsigns and from the Claim or Claims of all and every other person or persons Claiming the same in any Manner whatsoever  The said Edward H Nock reserves a lien on the land herein Conveyed for the payment of the balance of the purchase money  In Witnefs Whereof the said Edward H. Nock by Robert Goode his attorney in fact has hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and Year first within written.

I Edwin Thomas Deputy Clerk for Jack Thomas Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that the foregoing deed from Edward H Nock by Robert Goode his Attorney in fact to Isaac Bratcher was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the Said Robert Goode as Attorney aforesaid to be the act and deed of the Said Edward H Nock for the purposes herein mentioned, Which is certified, to the Clerk of the Ohio County Court where the premises for Record Given under my hand this 16th day of July 1849

I Charles Henderson clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that this deed from E H Nock by his attorney in fact Robert Goode to Isaac Bratcher was this day produced to me in my Office for record  Whereupon from the Said deed together with the Certificate Endorsed thereon as also this my own Certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my Office  Given under my hand, this 9th day of February 1850
