This Indenture made the 28th day of May 1849 Between Edward H Nock of the County of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the first part and William Bratcher Junr of sr of the County of Grayson and State Aforesaid of the Other part Witnefseth that the said Edward H. Nock for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and Seventy five dollars the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents give grant bargain and sell unto the said William Bratcher Junr of Senr his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Ohio and State aforesaid on the Waters of Caney and being part of a tract of 1585 acres conveyed to the said Edward H. Nock by Elisabeth Campbell Stewart by her attorney in fact R. G. Samuel by deed dated on the 9th day of November 1848 and record in the Clerks office of Grayson County in Deed Book H Page 447 and being lot number Eleven as will more fully appear by a reference to a Division of Land between Beall and Campbell by a decree of the Federal Court which is referred to for more certainty and the part now intended to be conveyed is bounded as follows To wit  Beginning on the bank of Caney at John Fulkerson corner a maple and a line Running thence N 41/2 E 180 poles to a spanish oak and beech said Fulkerson's corner on the original line of said lot No 11 Thence with a line of the same N 85 1/2 West 22 1/2 poles to two White oaks Thence south 17 1/2 West 393 poles to 3 beeches on the bank of Caney thence up the same with the several meandering thereof to the Beginning Containing 200 acres  To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land together with all and singular the Appurtenances and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise Appertaining unto the said William Bratcher Junr of sr his heirs or assigns forever  And the said Edward H. Nock with further Covenant and agree to and with the said William Bratcher his heirs or assigns forever that he will and shall forever warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land from the claim of himself his heirs or assigns and from the claim or claims of all and every other Person or Persons Claiming the same in any Manner Whatever  In Witnefs Whereof the said Edward H. Nock by Robert Goode his attorney in fact has hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and Year first within written.

I Edwin Thomas Deputy Clerk for Jack Thomas Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do certify that on this day Robert Goode Attorney in fact for Edward H Nock personally appeared before me in my office and acknowledged the foregoing deed to William Bratcher Junr of Senr to be the act and deed of the said Edward H Nock all of which is certified to the Clerk of Ohio County Court for record Where the premises be Given under my hand this 28th day of May 1849
